We had Ultra Marine Service winterize our Chapparal and while I assume that that portion of the…read moreservice was fine, they did not tell us what they did to it, nor did they communicate what needed to be done to use the boat the next summer, nor did they plan or schedule a summarization. So we tried to use the boat on July 4 only to discover the engine overheating and leaking water. And of course they were closed and could not be reached for assistance. So user beware! Use these guys to winterize your boat and they will basically break it so they can charge more to fix it again.

We fired up the engine and immediately could tell something was wrong. The engine was missing, had 30-40% power etc. We called him and for 6 WEEKS, he said it`s too wet (our cruiser was under cover) or too hot. "We can`t get out" We missed the Peak Selling Season and by extension, we lost unknown thousands of dollars! I finally got a REAL mechanic aboard and all he said was the wires are completely miss-crossed. It ended up fouling the distributer cap. AVOID this guy!!!

In any event, in the first year, the rubber rub rail has popped off numerous times and they have repaired it twice and replaced it once. It still continues to pop off the track. The left front bow speaker does not work, the foam weather stripping is peeling off after already being replaced and the Mercury 150 engine had issues before the first 100 hour service. The ladder rusting, and the chrome has green pitting. So you know, we keep the boat at a high and dry with a new fork lift and they always clean my boat and flush it prior to putting it away. It is cared for properly. The reason we bought a Sea Ray is because multiple people told me it is the "CADILLAC OF BOATS". Well, unfortunately, we have been disappointed in the quality thus far.
