Dr. Chauvin practically visited at least once a day for the first 72 days. I was consumed with different infections from an abscess in my hip/buttock/thigh due to very heavy radiation 33 years beforehand. He was my cheerleader, internal medicine doc and liason between all of the hospital specialist that dealt with me. Saw him (Dr. Peterson) last December 2022 with symptoms related to the heart I was never asked to fill out paperwork reference to current/past medical issues or anything about family history. That was the first flag. Dismissive isn't even the word to describe this guy during my visit. Anything outside his cookie cutter experience he is lost and not your guy. No tests ordered or concerns just wanted me to take salt pills. That was the second flag. Thank God my husband and I had enough sense to know something was wrong and Dr. Petersons recommendation of 'salt pills' was code for 'I don't know what I'm doing' I'm now blessed with a real Cardiologist from across the Bay who listened, took family history, ran tests and saved my life with an ICD implant due to irregular heart rhythms and sudden death.
