I would give zero stars if it would allow but I highly recommend you do NOT go to this florist!! My 90 year old mother ordered florals for her two daughter's respective anniversary's to be sent to Chicago. My one sister's order was correct the other received two arrangements in error. Upon contacting the florist we were told that yes indeed they made a mistake and would reimburse her for the one arrangement. When we received her credit card statement and saw that she did not get a credit for the mistake we called the florist and spoke to the owner Harold Jacobsen. Not only was he rude and condescending to my sister he acted as though he couldn't be bothered insinuating that my mother's age was a factor in the mistake. There was NO reasoning with him- he refused to check with his staff member who had previously assured us that they would take care of it We have been going to this florist for over 20 years and Harold Jacobsons response to that was " well we have been in business for over a 100" as though that was more important. Taking advantage of the elderly is not something the Jacobson name would be proud of I'm sure. There are so many florists in this area who put customer service above all. Please consider that before wasting your money on this one! read more

Why is it that flowers you see online never are the ones that get delivered! Don't they know that the recipient will send a picture of what they received. I was disappointed when I saw what was delivered as it did not match the picture that was represented on their website. I would not have picked that arrangement that they sent. read more

During a time of loss and sadness, when we couldn't travel to be with our family, the staff at Jacobsen's helped me to pick out a beautiful memorial center piece and made sure it was delivered to the local church just when it needed to be. I saw the flowers on the memorial service stream, and they were just beautiful- every bit as nice as the picture on their website. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again- I hope in happier times. Been here twice. Both times the lady who works here has been in the back room on phone. After waiting over 5 minutes I asked for help. She said she was on the phone and would be with me shortly. My boyfriend called and ordered a fall themed bundle of flowers for me and had them surprise me by delivering them to me at work!!!!!! He knows that Fall is my favorite season and orange is my favorite colors. He also let them know that I have a very small desk and would like them in a vase with water and food already in them and food for when I change the water next. They did fabulous. This is my favorite florist in all of michigan. I've been going here for over 12 years and have never been disappointed by the quality, freshness and beauty of their flowers. The florists are knowledgeable and friendly...i don't know much about flowers but they always help me make the right choice.... only negative is that your wallet will be significantly lighter, these aren't Kroger flowers...so don't expect to get the manager special for $7.99. I don't live in southeastern Michigan, however ordering flowers from Jacobsen's was very easy. After selecting an arrangement from their website, I called their shop and a very friendly woman answered the phone. She deftly took my order and payment info over the phone. The flowers were delivered on time and the recipient was very happy, telling me they were beautiful. It's true, these aren't cheap flowers, but they do a great job. I ordered a contemporary arrangement of flowers from Jacobsen's in Bloomfield Hills for a very special family member's memorial service. Our relatives were thrilled and wrote us immeditately to thank us for the "strikingly beautiful flowers" that "light up the living room in their towering vase." Pam was very patient, kind, and extremely helpful in describing the arrangement by phone (we called from out of state) and took our order and made sure the flowers arrived the same day. I posted an unfavorable review earlier today on this business. I was objecting to what I thought was their lack of transparency on the delivery charge that gets added to each order. The owner called me to let me know that they do, in fact, publish the charge on their website. They're right -- I was wrong. They do show that information. And more importantly, the recipient got the floral arrangement that I ordered, and was extremely happy with it. So, the quick and personal response by the business plus the good quality of the delivered flowers leads me to change my rating to highly favorable. This is a small, family owned business, and in general, I much prefer dealing with businesses like this than large chains. read more

Horribly overpriced. Charged $50 for a simple corsage and boutonnière.

AVOID THIS PLACE!!! I was up charged for a color vase, expedited shipping, a ribbon that I did not request, I only learned this from a representative after the fact when I called to complain about the arrangement not being what I requested. Further more, I called and specifically spoke to Nick at the flower shop to discuss the type of arrangement I wanted. He never called me to say he did not have fresh lavender in stock or that he was not going to put other lavender colored flowers in the arrangement with the roses as he promised on the phone. I have since spent HOURS on the phone with customer service and nothing has been remedied. Instead of calling me back the flower shop called my recipient to ask what was wrong with the arrangement. How would they know what I ordered or paid? Ridiculous and completely unprofessional. I will never order from here again and will let everyone I can know about my horrible experience. These fine folks put together a great bouquet for my loved one on V-day 2014. Also, I asked for a couple single roses for my lady's sister and mother, and they went above and beyond by adding baby's breath and other garnishments. The flowers were a huge hit and loved by all.
