Kudos to management for providing an upscale environment during check-in. We were on the fifth floor. Each floor has an outdoor seating area just off the elevators, which was nice. The room itself was pleasant and had a large bathroom with good amenities. We stayed here since we were planning to go to Harry's steakhouse, a couple blocks away for dinner. I would recommend this establishment and look forward to staying there again

There is a sky walk from the parking garage that takes you to the hotel from the second floor. The reception desk is often empty at night time. There is the Skies restaurant on the second floor. There is Sweetwaters on the ground floor in the hotel, how nice and convenient is that. Hugo Pure Market is less than two blocks away off Demers and 5th street and has parking in the back or is any easy walk. The lobby area has a lot of variety of seating area, although it was mostly empty whenever we walked by. Our first floor room was handicap accessible, huge bathroom. The bed on one side had fallen below the frame. We're moved to an end room on the same floor. The traffic outside can be quite loud, makes me feel like we are in NYC. The end room wasn't as wide or as open as the other room, but it works. The one thing is having to close all of the drapes to get full black out since much of the room are windows. Decent place to stay downtown here

Although all the bars only take cash so come prepared otherwise there's ATMs available. My favorite food to get is the happy bread with Little Caesar! So delicious! Always love going to UND hockey games and how they keep the crowd engaged. As far as parking you can park on-site or park by the neighborhoods but it might be a cold walk during the winter. Always look forward coming back to the Ralph!

This was a super hot day and the ac was having a hard time keeping up but no one really minded. You can't byob but they have a bar downstairs that featured just about anything you wanted at a very reasonable price. They also do catering on site. Beautiful area off the beaten path but perfect for a getaway for sure.

On Sunday, I was heading to Winnipeg from the Twin Cities. This rest stop at Elm River was my last…read morerest stop that I dropped by stateside. This rest stop is in Hillsboro. It's the third-last rest stop heading northbound on I-29 before you hit the Manitoba-North Dakota border. I had no problem finding a parking spot. There were two other cars parked in front of this rest stop and two trucks that were parked behind me. I dig this place. I like rest stops where you can read up on its history and figure out what's around the area. The map that detailed the various sections of the state and all rest stops was informative. I also enjoyed learning about the railroads and Red River carts after I used the women's washroom. The washroom was impeccably clean. The liquid soap had a pleasant scent. It was a nice touch. This place has water fountains to refill your tumblers and travel mugs. It also has vending machines if you need snacks or a fancier drink than water. You can also get informational leaflets to visit places in the surrounding area. What was neat and curious was seeing a long marble bench. I am guessing that it's there for folks to take a break, but not a long one because it wouldn't be all that comfortable after a while. This place has plenty of space outside for you or your pet to stretch. It also has picnic tables to enjoy a meal when it's warmer outside. I liked visiting this rest stop.
