We joined the Red Wagon Club which, for a monthly fee, offers free access to attorneys/staff, free modifications to our plan, as well as offers educational and social opportunities. We find this to be a good value. We feel we understand our estate plan better than we ever have in the past in large part due to the personal approach and continued education. That understanding helps us make good decisions as we open new accounts or make changes to how we want our assets distributed upon death in the least costly way possible. He provided a very detailed list of exactly what was needed -- down to the T. I'm very organized and made sure every single item on that list was turned in. Everything was submitted exactly as requested, and Ken personally confirmed that all documents were received and even commended me on my diligence throughout the process. Then, out of nowhere, the secretary claimed they didn't have certain documents -- even though Ken had already confirmed they did. Since then, it's been difficult to reach him directly, and we've been passed around to different people who don't seem to be on the same page. We were also told from the start that we only needed to complete one counseling certificate, which we did. Later, we were informed we'd have to pay for another one. The process has been confusing, inconsistent, and very unorganized. We're still in the middle of this process, and unfortunately, it continues to feel all over the place.
