My child's other pediatrician is also very famous and has great reputation but their office never make patients wait like this. At the most only 10 minutes wait.....They always ask patients to call on the "day of" for sick visits and they will give you a few time slots that you can come in and they always see the patient within 10 minutes.....therefore, there's no crowding at the waiting room at all..... And later that night I discovered the area where she drawn blood were bruised. My friend told me she had the same experience after she got her blood drawn by this lady. I think with a skill like this she really doesn't deserve a job. She might will find something else to do.

She works collaboratively with a very skilled nurse who, for the most part, does the basic procedures of regular check-ups. The nurse takes your weight, height, and blood. The nurse is very gentle when handling the needle. She tightly bounds your upper arm with a latex band and then carefully runs her finger over your skin to check for a vein. Before applying the needle, she wipes the surface with an alcohol wipe and then proceeds. She is so skilled that you barely feel the needle going through your skin and into your veins. Absolute professionalism! Afterwards, the nurse calls you into another room where you meet Dr. Zeng. In the other room, Dr. Zeng starts off by talking to you about your previous visit and marking your weight and height on a growth chart that tells you whether you are below average, above average, or on target. She then asks general health questions to assess your current condition and to see whether there are any problems that she should be aware of. After the verbal diagnosis, she begins the physical diagnosis by checking your blood pressure, eyes, nostrils, ears, mouth, lungs, stomach, and breast tissues (after puberty). My daughter received a note from her school about getting a meningococcal vaccine. I called Dr. Li's office and scheduled an appointment for the next day. (An appointment is a must due to COVID). Walking into the office, it is obvious that they take COVID very seriously, as we were the only ones there (i.e. no double booking). Dr. Li met with me to express her condolences and genuine sorrow for my wife's untimely passing. The compassion and tear in her eyes was very moving as she provided words of comfort and encouragement. My daughter received her shot and Dr. Li carefully filled out the yellow innoculation card that my wife had maintained for our daughter since birth. Dr. Li is a physician who CARES about her patients. We are lucky to have her.

We had our insurance company call them several times to explain how to submit the claim properly, but they kept saying it didn't work. In the end, they demanded that we needed to pay out of pocket for all past visits at the self-pay rate, or they would refuse to continue seeing us. However, later the insurance claims did successfully went through. Teddy Liu office received the payments -- meaning they collected money both from us and from the insurance company for the same visits! According to New York State regulations, as long as the patient has insurance, the patient should only be responsible for the co-pay; the rest is between the clinic and the insurance provider. We have been communicating with them for over five months, yet they still refuse to refund the overcharged amount. This is not just an issue with the front desk or billing department -- according to the staff, the doctor himself instructed them to withhold the refund. For the past month, whenever we called, the calls either got disconnected after several rings or didn't answer at all, completely avoiding the issue.

His assistant said as a general rule of thumb and policy, they do NOT take patients if you left before. they just take newborns. Weird and what a way to be a dr. I have to say he was fast and efficient with his partner Dr Tran. Dr Tran called to check up on my kid with a fever of 105. That was pre-Northwell and about 3.5 years ago.
