When I decided to do a gender reveal party for my last baby, it was important to me that I would find out what the gender was with my family and friends at the SAME time - which is why I wanted to go with the balloon popping route... Even though it was going to be costly (Melissa quoted me $140), I decided to go with Melissa because she was the only vendor who said that an ivory balloon was doable (all other vendors I asked said they could only do black because the pink or blue confetti/mini balloons inside would be see through). So when I asked Melissa about an ivory balloon and she said that was doable, I trusted her... I even asked her once before I sealed the deal (out of hesitation and my gut from all of the other vendors saying they could only do a black balloon) if the confetti inside would be see-through and she reassured me it wouldn't be. I regret trusting her and should've followed my gut. Melissa comes on the day of my gender reveal party, with the ivory balloon, which is totally see-through. The blue inside couldn't be more obvious. What sucked was as soon as everyone walked through my door, the first comment they made was "we can see the blue inside..." - so to say my gender reveal party, which is supposed to be a special, sweet, and truly once in a lifetime moment was ruined by Melissa and her ignorance.. is an understatement. I am truly disappointed.

We had such anxiety about what to do for our son's 5th birthday and wrestled with doing Chuck E Cheese or Gymboree. We decided to take a chance on the Balloon Guy and man, they nailed it! Yasmine and Sean were instrumental in creating one of those childhood moments that kids look back and remember fondly throughout their adulthood. Yasmine was a true artist with all her balloon creations and probably made over 30 balloon designs that day ranging from unicorns, princesses, ninjas, sharks, Mario, Superheros, flowers, hats etc. In my head, I know all those kids wished they had parents half as cool as us, ha! Their representative informed me that if I went with the 21ft garland, they would throw in free delivery (a $150 value). I asked for the balloon color options and a contract but it was never sent. I followed up a few weeks later and they sent a very limited selections for balloon color options only. When I followed up on the contract and to pay the deposit for the balloons, they said they would no longer offer free delivery. The person was very dismissive and could care less that my event was a month away. Luckily, I found a different balloon company, Plan My Party LA, for a fraction of the price.
