False promise, fake story after false promise. The crazy thing is he will keep showing up and showing face for a while. One time he dropped off materials and it was 4 pieces of plywood randomly at the job site. Lol. After 2 years finally "the house materials from two years ago" we're about to be delivered, they never did obviously, and he blocked our number. We also received a notice in the mail, that he had taken a high interest loan out with our address as the project name, and they were trying to collect payment from him. Essentially we paid him $30k to startup, he borrowed $30k from a lender. He never bought materials for our project, so he had $60k that was no where to be seen and not being used for our project. We believe he is borrowing from peter to pay Paul. Before this, he did a spiral staircase in our house and the steps are uneven. Different widths. He also didn't clean up after himself. Also, I guess a neighbor hired him after seeing his sign in our yard, apparently that went south and the guy threatened a gun on him. All in all, I wouldn't trust this guy to paint a door. Drama, lies, BAD INTENTIONS, WASTE OF TIME. doesn't get worse than this.

Took me awhile to write this due to the experience being so awful I have a hard time talking about…read moreit. The man in charge, Renee did not honor his estimate. I called him 2-3 weeks after the 1st contractor got sick and Renee seemed little upset that I had not gone w him in the 1st place and knew I was under a strict deadline from home owners association, so he raised the price 1200. I had no time to find another contractor. I have never seen a contractor that would not honor his estimate if it is accepted within 30 days. He brought the contract to my home, asked for 1/2 in cash upfront even though I had already supplied the materials. I said no. Once they got on the roof, everything became a nitpicks with exaggerated costs. $80 EACH in labor costs simply to lay plywood sheets. After I complained, he said, "ok I do $40 but I have to rewrite contract w no warranty because your not going to do what I say". He provided a certificate of insurance but I called there and they said, "He may not have a license. You can have business ins without a license" and I searched WI Credential Holder Inquiry website and neither his business nor his name appear. He also liked to days off and quit early. He would come down and talk about how he was a man of faith and talk about the good deeds he has done for people and then go up to find another problem to charge me for. Then wink at me from the roof saying, "I take care of you". He laid my underlayment in the rain. My husband was standing under the awning & overheard him say "5000 not enough!! 5000 not enough!! Anybody w truck like that has money!!". So his bill was nearly 8000 in cash for a tear off on a small 864sq ft single story home w simple design and he eliminated my warranty. Then he had audacity to show up to get final cash payment in a new white truck. I will say however, that his son is a hard worker and cleaned everything up. It is Renee that deceives you w his pleasantries which are really nothing more than a way to hook you & then drive up costs with nitpicky, exaggerated & manufactured claims to inflate costs on your roof. We…read morehired Matt to do an addition on our home and at first everything was great and he was very communicative. Then as the process dragged on, communication fell off, and now he's not responding to my emails, texts, or complaint to the Dept of Consumer Protection. Our main issue is with our roof which we had inspected by a neutral 3rd party only to find that it was installed improperly and even the shingle warranty from the manufacturer would be void due to the poor installation. Before we finished paying Matt for the overall work, he and I spent several hours in discussion and Matt agreed that he would come back in the spring and redo our roof correctly. It is now almost September and I haven't heard anything from him since despite repeated emails, complaints, etc. We tried to be extremely understanding of his busy schedule, but since he's now blatantly ignoring our request for him to honor his word and come back and redo the roof, we're forced to resort to more public measures. I sincerely hope that I can come back and amend this review in the near future stating that Matt completed the work he said he would.
