Sure, it's your - square-feet aside - honest-to-goodness convenience store, but that's just during business hours. In the evenings, it turns into a mini lifesaver for the going-out set... customers of Hurst Street's bars and clubs.
Firstly, it has a cash machine. Predictably, there's a charge to use, but this end of Brum isn't blessed with many holes in the wall. If you forgot to withdraw cash at New Street, and you don't know about this place, you'll likely face a queue as long as 30 people at nearby complex The Arcadian. Then there's the basic cosmetic stuff for emergencies - lads who've rushed out, only to twig their pits weren't sprayed with Lynx's 'half term' or 'world peace'. For ladies, there's the odd pair of tights and so on, if they got a run doing a runner from a stinky-armpit boy.
