We went here on Friday evening and, as visitors to Porthcawl, we were fairly pleased with our meal. Four of us were able to order what we wanted and the service was swift and efficient. The staff were not over-friendly but the clientele may not have encouraged them to exude bonhomie Christmas celebrations and birthdays where alcohol has clearly got the upper hand are not usually a waiter's best friend. Nonetheless, a good meal and an unexpected two bottles of wine for our party of four as seasonal gifts means that, next time we're in town, we'll be giving this place serious consideration. read more

I took my wife to indian for a meal on her 40th birthday party, the food was good and the decor pleasant. Thats where it ended the our waiter had B.O and would often lean across the table, not nice. But the best was to come all the staff looked as if they where on punishment by working there. When asked they all looked so glum, the head waiter gave me the finger and said I knew where the door was. We paid our bill and left. The Jaipur is a great Indian restaurant, situated in a prime location on the prom in Porthcawl. The outside of the restaurant is modern and stylish. Inside is well decorated, with a good layout. Service is excellent and quick.The range of food on offer is excellent - and quality is good. Most dishes and tastes are catered for. Portions are not huge, but are quite sufficient, and are all of excellent value. The restaurant also offers a take away service. The restaurant is open late - and you can usually get a table, if you don't mind waiting, even if they are busy. The Jaipur dosen't dissapoint - and is the only sit down Indian restaurant in Porthcawl! read more
