During our volunteer time, we were in charge of looking through all the clothes to grab certain ones to put in the sales bin. I looked through a lot of the racks with the other volunteers and there was a decent amount of really nice clothes! So, if you are interested in shopping at thrift stores, check this place out! But this one admin guy is just such a company man, gotta be by the letter of the rules. Like a humorless Captain Spock archetype. Just has to Barney Fife you for the most insignificant thing. Would make a good hand model. How does one getto be a full grown man without developing any muscle mass whatsoever? Asking for a friend. The kitchen is hit or miss with some of the nice church types come in with a bbq set up. But breakfast is sometimes bacon and biscuits, sometimes fruity pebbles. Biscuits and gravy... Occasional.fruit. Most folks here are looking for work, found it or catch a check. Some folks like living in a tent. The management didn't really help with my documents and such, 7 Hills gets credit for that and receiving mail. Apparently their program rivals and exceeds The Salvation Army n the local scale. The Sally is clean though. They renovated all new flooring , shower and bath room tile, paint etc. The reports are that it is a little cleaner on average than the 7 Hills Shelter. Short timer out

They recently…read moreclosed that location and moved to this bigger free standing building right off the interstate exit. I like how big and open the store is and how they have late hours. It is organized somewhat except for the books which were just randomly placed on shelves and mixed with adults, childrens, cooking, etc. They have a big section of clothing for adults but the kids clothing was the smallest I have seen at any goodwill store. They also have a donation drop off in the back. But just like all other Goodwills in the area the prices have majorly gone up on clothing. Everything else is thrift store pricing but the clothes are very expensive for used, good to fair quality clothing. Jeans were average 8.99 and sweaters were 7.99. They do have a color tag of the week that is discounted 50% off which is nice. Also they no longer offer plastic bags for your purchases and try to sell you reusable totes. They also took away the fitting rooms which is frustrating. If you buy something and it doesn't fit you have 7 days to return it for store credit only. 3.5 stars but I'll round up to 4.

They have a small gravel parking lot, but I've never had any issue getting in or out. Before you walk in, there are some bargain baskets outside - this week, they had t-shirts for 25 cents, picture frames for 50 cents, and pairs of socks for 15 cents, for example. Clothes and shoes take up the majority of the store, but they also have dolls, china, appliances, books, toys, and more. They make sure that all of their appliances work before putting them on the floor. Their adult clothing is more geared toward an aging crowd, I think, but I've gotten several great quality finds. Their standard pricing is about middle of the road for thrift shops, but they ALWAYS have deals running there so you can get a lot of bang for your buck. This week, pants and summer tops were half off. They've scheduled doll sales and linen sales. What makes NMC Auxiliary Thrift so special is that the volunteers there are wonderful. They're always so delighted with my finds, and you can tell that they love volunteering.
