If you get a guy that drives very slowly the price will get higher than calculated - but still cheaper. From city to Landvetter airport it is between 220 and 260 SEK. You do not need to know the language, you can use the same smart phone app in every country and you never need to pay before stepping out. Meaning no cash needed, no cards needed. The quality of the cars can differ, but so far I have only gotten fresh cars and super friendly drivers. I just started to use Uber in Gothenburg.

Once I got through security, I milled about and shopped, and then stopped by the lounge, which was quite good for an airport this size. I decided I wanted to check out one of the restaurants I saw in my stroll, and I headed there. My gate was near, so I ate and then headed to my gate. I will be happy to come through here again in the future!

There was also a parking garage at no extra cost. Breakfast was generous and tasty. So nothing special and nothing bad, if you get a good price and need a hotel before you turn back your Volvo for shipment to the USA, go for it. No surprises or extra "fees". There is a great Italian restaurant a block away called Marsala if you need supper.

I only use it in the city and to neighbouring communities. They make announcements in speakers when traffic is delayed. Cash is not accepted on buses - only bank cards or prepaid bus cards. On trams you can buy tickets in cash machines (not sure if this goes with ALL trams).

Stop! Turn around! Find another hotel!…read more The. Worst. Hotel I've ever stayed at. I can't BELIEVE they call themselves a 4-star hotel and that this is supposed to be the top brand of the Choice hotels group. First of all it is the UGLIEST hotel. The furniture is cheap and old and ugly. The rooms (and we were staying in the nicest room) were sparse and depressing. We were supposed to have an equipped kitchen and we had barely anything. Two plates, one bowl, a pair of mismatched silverware, and NO glasses! The bathroom looks like something out of an airport. The only amenities we got were shampoo and a half empty bottle of conditioner. The lobby had a 10-ft Christmas tree that had a single string of lights wrapped around the top half of it and about seven ornaments total with a tiny little pile of staff presents underneath it. The reception desk doubled as the bar and the lone person working there had to work both. We tried ordering food at their "restaurant"--NOT an actual restaurant at all--and were told that WE WOULD HAVE TO WARM UP OUR PLATES OF FOOD BECAUSE IT WAS FROM YESTERDAY! WHAT??! Their buffet was awful. The soup was over salted and over peppered, the fruit was old, and you had to pick up silverware from the reception desk/bar... There is no excuse for a hotel like this in a city like Gothenburg and to call themselves 4-star is extremely duplicitous. If we had been staying more than one night we would have checked out early and found a different hotel. Especially since the windows even on the seventh floor blocked out none of the noise from the trains and we got no sleep. Just unbelievable. I can't even comment on the service because it was just so irrelevant in the context of everything else.
