Chloe was the only one to respond to my inquiry. She did so under 3 hours. She gathered information in a kind and efficient way. The consultation I had was informative and professional. Which I expected. What I did not predict was the empathy, understanding and unhurried council.

We had a business issue that we needed to hire a law firm for. I had reached out to the Glennon law…read morefirm, was told that they require a retainer to give a consultation. However, Peter was nice enough to give us a call to have a quick conversation. He hyped himself up And let us to believe that we had a great possibility of winning our case. To continue to look further into all of our documents and paperwork Peter said that we would have to send a $5000 retainer for a more in depth consultation. So we did that. at that point, Peter did a switcheroo if you will, and had another attorney, give us a call. The reason we had given the retainer was based on our original conversation with Peter and we're hoping to work with Peter. After our conversation with this other lawyer, we had decided to not use this law firm. Third week of October I sent an email to, Peter secretary, telling her that we were going to move in a different direction they sent us a letter confirming that we were not going to be using their law firm anymore and it was signed by Peter. I requested about the refund of whatever monies were left from our retainer for the consultation and was told that it was being sent out this was November 1. It is now the 21st of November and we're being told that they're sent out once a month and they'll follow up with us when it's being sent out. So if you want to get the runaround and you want to get your money held, then this is the law firm for you, if not stay away from them.

They took the time to listen to me and explained in a simple way how things and professional throughout. Communication was also good, so I didn't have to worry unnecessarily. Overall, I am satisfied with Tully Rinckey's service and will consider speaking with them if I need legal assistance.

The only options presented were to continue paying them to correct mistakes in their work--despite their already having the necessary information and documentation--or to close the matter and receive only the unused portion of the retainer. They had the opportunity to resolve this privately and chose not to. ** Richard Brister is highly persuasive during the initial consultation. Unfortunately, his impressive phone manner is where the competence at Tully Rinckey ends. What Mr. Brister promised us during our consultation bears absolutely no resemblance to what the firm ultimately delivered. He explicitly assured us that our $4,000 retainer would cover a robust, comprehensive demand letter and active negotiations--even discussing specific enforcement provisions to hold management accountable to critical safety measures. We relied on those professional representations when we signed and paid our retainer. What we received was a weak, inaccurate and completely unusable draft. It was addressed to an individual who no longer worked for the company, contained a false timeline, failed to include our core claims, and completely ignored the evidence we had provided. It was a sloppy, careless rush job that caused our household and my 88 year old mother additional distress. The worst part? When we pointed out these glaring, objective errors, Tully Rinckey did not offer to correct them without further depleting our retainer. They never denied that we would be expected to pay additional legal fees simply to obtain an accurate and usable version of the document we had already retained them to prepare. To anyone considering this firm: Do not be fooled by Mr. Brister's polished sales pitch. Get every verbal promise in writing before you hand over a single dime. We trusted Tully Rinckey with thousands of dollars and a highly sensitive matter, and we were left with zero results, a bigger headache, and a nearly depleted retainer. Shame on Richard Brister, and shame on Tully Rinckey. Stay tuned for more TR reviews.
