Originally called for Mr. Sullivan and Nancy Botts answered told me he wasn't available and she decided to take my case I actually thought she was his secretary and I'm sorry I hired her and wish I would have spoken with Mr. Sullivan instead. I had a case of Assault - Bodily Injury (never been in trouble a day in my life) and Nancy Botts who handled my case did absolutely NOTHING in court for the amount of money I paid her. I paid a cash bond to get a court date which was the arraignment and when the date came, I seen a BIG red flag about Nancy who lied and withheld information from me. I should have walked away then but me always trying to see good in people I decided to go forth. Second court date came court began at 9:30, Nancy called me while still in the uber at 9:32 stating I am just going to sign paperwork and do an online course, and my case will be dismissed. Not realizing until I started reading the agreement it was a pretrial intervention not what I wanted or was looking forward too and Nancy never explained that it was a PTI, just baited me to sign paperwork for easy money. I feel like I was scammed. I arrived at court 15 minutes late because of uber. Nancy tells lies for a living, so she lied to her client and didn't inform me of nothing that happened while I wasn't there in court. Nancy never showed me any video evidence , she never spoke to me about my options, never fought for me as her client and just settled for easy money and made a poor decision on my behalf while I was not yet in court. She began to become very rude with and spoke to me very harsh. Had I would have known she was a court appointed attorney I would have never hired her. Please stay away from hiring Nancy, she will not go the extra mile for a dismissal and I regret I hired her and would have paid Mr. Sullivan whatever he asked for a dismissal which is the reason I called him in the first place because of the awesome reviews. Sorry this wasn't a review for Mr. Sullivan and my success story I would have had with him. :-( read more

Mr. Sullivan represented my son twice and both times he did an excellent job. My son has bipolar disorder and ADHD and Mr. Sullivan understood how that affected my son's choices and actions. The first time he represented my son he was a juvenile. What impressed me is he spoke to my son and listened to what he had to say. He treated him with respect. The first occasion my son was given some classes and the offense was dropped from his record. The next time we called upon Mr. Sullivan my son was now considered an adult and was being wrongfully accused by the police of evading detention. My 13 yr old son was charged in Fort Bend County with resisting arrest and assault against a public servant, a police officer. I hired Jim Sullivan as his lawyer. After searching online for attorneys over several days I realized that Jim Sullivan is the best and I wanted the best for my son. After Jim Sullivan met with us at his office for two hours, he said he would set the case for a jury trial on the first court setting unless the prosecutor dismissed the felony assault and agreed to a deferred prosecution on the misdemeanor resisting so that my son could get his cases dismissed and then get his record sealed. Jim Sullivan agreed my son did not cause the officer to get a broken finger during the arrest and the arrest itself was unlawful, however as he explained it is still illegal to resist an unlawful arrest. Jim Sullivan then met with the prosecutor to discuss the case and to get a copy of the offense report and surveillance video. When we went to court a month later, Jim Sullivan did what he said he would do. He pressured the prosecutor to dismiss the felony and then during the court hearing he persuaded the judge to give my son a deferred on the misdemeanor. He told my son that he is very smart, but that he had to study harder to make better grades and especially straight A's so that he could get into a top college. James Sullivan is an awesome lawyer. Last year he defended me in a felony theft case. I decided to go with Sullivan because he has the best attributes and great testimonies of people that he helped. My case was not an easy one since I got caught shoplifting more than 2K at a Macys store with a friend. The charge that I got was a felony and I thought that my life was completely ruined. I had just turned 19 when the incident happened and I was a straight A student in high school. I went online and found all the good reviews about Sullivan and decided to hire him. The case was a tricky one because my friend was also charged with a felony and hired a separate lawyer so I figured he was going to try to blame it all on me even though we both did the crime. I had bought a device online that let us remove security tags so we figured we could just grab a bunch of expensive polo shirts, remove the tags in the changing room and then walk out the door with them.
