Leading up to the wedding Renee was prompt and professional. Her and her assistant arrive on site on time and moved around the ceremony getting some good shots with out being distracting. Now for the not so good. We discusses the shots we wanted before hand and it was simple. Getting ready images (got that), detail shots (got that), ceremony (yes again), and afterwards we wanted the family photo and wedding party shots. Unfortunately due to my husbands large one family photo (all of the people were present and ready) Renee told us afterwards we had ran out of time (took her longer to put everyone in a line) so we had to choose to take our individual bride and groom photos or the ones with me and my bridesmaids and moh / the groom and his men and BM. We of course had chosen to have the bride and groom photos. The other option was to add an additional hour for a crazy price just to have shots that we thought would be included. To this day I kick myself and I wish I was I had my photo with my sister (maid of honor) and I or together from our wedding. Also our couple shots were of good quality but I felt the lacked creativity. The photographers other work has a high fashion style to it this is not what we got at all. I'm content with the images but not 100% satisfied and if I could do it over I would either chose differently or express my concerns during the wedding.

We were overwhelmed walking through the aisles upon aisles of very nice looking wedding and engagement photos (and eating plenty of sample cake and food from the caterers of course :P). How were we going to pick an amazing photographer when every picture looked the same? Just then, something magical happened. We turned around to see this rockin' display of totally rad pictures. Every photo displayed was full of color, awesome backgrounds, and cool, funky lines. What we have loved about working with R2 is that they think outside the box and will do whatever they need to capture that amazing photo. Outside of how amazing the photos looked, the R2 family is so great to work with. We always felt so comfortable with everyone - whether it was meeting at the expo, having an e-sesh, discussing packages, or planning the timeline for our big day. They also made us feel like we belonged in the pages of Men's Vogue which was kind of fun too To be honest, what really sold us on R2 was our gut feeling. Something just feels SO right about going with R2. We wanted to have cool people at our wedding... We wanted to have people we would invite to the wedding working with us on our big day. (I don't know how to explain that part more... but that's a big thing). We were lucky enough to work with many different members of the R2 family throughout our experience from the E-Sesh, love is love shoot, and our actual wedding. The best part is that every picture that was taken has that awesome R2 flair! While members of the team have their own style, each photo is a stunning piece of art not just a pretty picture. Andy & Mykie were so much fun to work with! Besides being amazing, creative, and talented behind the lens it was so much fun having them be part of our big day. Andy has such a good eye to frame the perfect picture. Mykie would catch so many candid moments to really capture the moments. Both Andy and Mykie were fun and complimentary that we felt totally comfortable. Both encouraged us to share ideas and really collaborate to contribute to the shoot. You can tell from the moment that you meet with any of the members of the R2 Studios family that they are the photographers you want capturing your day!

When I sought out a photographer I was looking for a team that could provide exceptional customer service, quality and uniqueness not only in the photos but in their approach. Josh and Sky were very professional, punctual and creative. Engagement Photos: Josh and Sky leveraged props in order to make our photos look different than other engagement photos taken at the same venue. Planning and Preparation: Josh and Sky made a point to communicate at all times via phone and email as to the progress and status of our photos, engagement book and when our wedding photos would be ready. They were very receptive to our photo requests during the wedding and followed up with us so that we were not left wondering what was needed or how the wedding day would unfold. As a former event planner, I felt very confident going into the wedding weekend knowing that I would not have to worry about whether the photographers would meet my expectations. Wedding: One of the most challenging times can be capturing family photos while with several young children. One can only imagine how exciting pictures are for five kids ages 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 8. Josh and Sky's approach to taking pictures made it easy to obtain photos with the kids. They not only made a point to capture the shots we requested but utilized the venue ambiance of every moment for us to remember. Got married 09/2025. The day of our wedding it was drizzling on and off all day, followed by…read moreintense heat in between. The staff showed up on time and took decent getting ready pictures. I was excited that they were asking me questions and seemingly getting my responses on video. I liked how I thought they were setting things up with the videography. We took our bridal party photos and SOME photos with family. Prior to the wedding date we had a long phone conversation going over all the pictures my husband and I were wanting, and maybe it was just because we were overwhelmed with the heat, the rush of the day, or something else, but it seems like none of those pictures were taken that we wanted. We brought our dog halfway across town to have pictures with us and it seems like he's only in a couple. The reference pictures I sent to the photographer looked nothing like what was taken. I'm still upset that I don't have pictures with my in laws, my parents individually, my extended family, etc. The rain picked up right after our ceremony and while we were outside taking our landscape pictures. Given that this is a main selling point when they show their galleries, I was disappointed that we had seldom pictures and only one drone shot. Again though, the day was busy. But I wish they pushed us more to get more content, or even candids. Anything to preserve the day. Once dinner was over they asked us if we wanted to go back out and take more pictures but the light was gone and the party was starting. We didn't really want to leave our family waiting so we opted out. They got good footage of the party, and eventually let us know they were heading out for the night. A few days later we received our pictures which were for the most part great, apart from a few blurry and overexposed shots. A few weeks after that we got our videos-which is really where my disappointment sets in. Our compilation wedding video was very nice, no complaints there. The raw video of the ceremony however has major audio issues. The speech videos also have terrible audio, and some are missing. The videographer was kind enough to email me my speech to my mom, but again terrible audio. Given what we invested for the photos and video, I was let down. I still see content made by the company showing their dedication to getting the best for clients and am saddened that we didn't get that treatment. Everyone was incredibly kind but the quality of the pictures and video speaks for itself. Our DJ Tayzen however was incredible, did exactly what we asked, and was very interactive with us, asking questions and keeping us informed. Getting a hold of someone to even book was a pain as well. It took multiple emails and phone calls.

The shoot was for my daughter and her fiance ' s engagement pictures and their "Save the dates". My daughter loves retro things and she shared that with this photographer who has incorporated black & white and effects to make some of the pictures appear to be from the 20 ' s, which was exactly what she wanted. She wanted some to look current and some to look retro. I highly recommended this talented photographer to shoot my friends and families special occassions, and I wanted to also share her with Yelp to get the word out farther than just my reach. Booking: For all sessions a 50% non-fundable deposit is required to book and hold the date for your session and serves as a cancellation fee. The remaining balance is due the day of the session. PAYMENT: All retainer fees must be paid immediately and session and other packages can be paid via money order, certified check, cash. Locations that are outside of Chandler, Mesa, or Gilbert will include a traveling fee. Groupon deals do not include travel fees or tips. Turn around time for your pictures is approx. 3 weeks from selection date. Cancellation Policy: For all sessions, client forfeits their session deposit as a cancellation fee.
