It's so nice to see I'm not the only bookie out here lol. The parking was easy and organized. The book sale itself was packed but they had so many wonderful volunteers helping to steer the crowd, it was pretty seamless. They even had volunteers walking around asking if they could take your books and put them on a table to hold for you so you could keep shopping comfortably. it was great! The library has multiple stories and was very clean and quiet. I will absolutely be back soon!!

I thought I could scan at home but couldn't, and the Huntersville library is closed for renovations. On my first day here (yesterday), I watched a man on a computer sneeze directly into his hands and continue typing, I walked by a little girl who coughed twice loudly without covering her mouth, and I accidentally dropped my change so all the coins went rolling under the bookshelves. I literally got on my hands and knees to search and collect the change--they were quarters! Today I went back and let the librarian know that I hadn't scanned anything in years. I pretended I was dumb so she would walk me through it. It worked. Very seamless experience. Prior to finishing this review, I just received an email reply from the person I'm sending this info to. That email reads: "Thanks, Tyler (my pen name). All that's missing now is a copy of a voided check." Back to the library!

The older ones are what I considered to be Main Street. A somewhat busy railroad track runs parallel to the main drag. Of all the places here I visited and did Yelp reviews on I found a hardware store that was actually more than that. It was interesting and the store person was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The store is exactly split in half. One side is strictly hardware and the other side is a convenience store. How cool is that! This is a nice place to visit! A great combination of old vs. new!

The buildings that are meant to appear as being refurbished appropriate to the era when the plantation was functioning are minimal, three small single room buildings. Not worth the price. I did not do the guided tour that was $9 to tour the single plantation home for 45 minutes which seemed like a really long tour for the small plantation house. Might be a good tour for school children but wasn't worthwhile for an adult. Plenty of onsite parking on a quiet weekday visit.

There are a couple of very friendly animals roaming around the farm area and the people who work there are really nice and informative. A Civil War Infantry demonstration was going on the day we went, that was neat, got to learn about how the Confederate infantry lived and operated. Great place to take the kids or people who like Civil War Era history. Admission is $6 for adults and $5 with student ID.

Its a running joke how terrible DMV is and how slow they are at providing the services they are…read moresupposed to but this team takes the joke and runs with it. By that i mean theres workers in there lallygagging through paperwork and theres staff blatantly texting and joking on their phone. No one is any hurry to help customers get in and out. Walked in the door at 9:45am the lobby was half way filled. As I am writing this review it is 1:50pm and I am still waiting. If you were thinking about coming to this location I would highly recommend going probably ANYWHERE else.
