It's not the photographer, we are just gorgeous people.... not, lololol. Jamie was absolutely amazing. He did our engagement shoot as well as our ALL DAY WEDDING. He never lost momentum, stayed energetic throughout the entire event. He's very creative. Through our multiple photoshoots, I felt that he likes more natural pictures. He will occasionally tell you how to pose if you get stuck, but he likes the organic energy to flow between the couples, and captures the mood/vibe of that moment. I will say, he is a very punctual and type A. He likes to stay organized and on schedule. At times I felt rushed, but I can't blame him for wanting to do an excellent job. I guess if he didn't stick to the schedule, we wouldn't have gotten some of the great pictures that we have. He is very quick to respond and answers all questions. I have researched quite a few photographers when wedding planning, and I feel like his prices are mid range. Overall, I would definitely recommend him for your upcoming events. Jamie captured our wedding day exceptionally. He is a professional through and through and we were grateful to have his calm presence as we moved through wedding activities. Jamie has had the challenge of photographing not only my wedding, but also both my older brother's weddings in 2014 and 2018. We are all really different people with varying expectations and Jamie has more than delivered for all of us! We joke that he is now stuck with being the family photographer. Jamie's photography style is striking and captures so much. Couldn't imagine anyone else being in charge of capturing the day for us! He is versatile, knowledgeable and excellent to work with. I don't even know where to begin because Jamie was BEYOND AMAZING! My husband and I were VERY concerned about picking the right wedding photographer and videographer for our 3 day Hindu/Christian wedding. We cared about quality and price but our mothers had their own list of requirements and they were needy. Prior to finalizing Jamie, we had him provide so many examples of his work and asked him a million questions. He did not skip a beat when going through our screening process. I felt confident in our decision but as the wedding got closer I was nervous about working with a photographer I hadn't even met. The minute I met Jamie and his crew at the first wedding event, I knew I made the right choice. They were all very personable, professional, respectful, and knowledgeable. Throughout the stressful 3 days, Jamie and his crew remained calm and composed. They did a great job of sticking the timeline and they had no problem telling me, THE BRIDE, no! Future brides - let me explain that statement. Jamie didn't flat out say no. There were times we were just running too behind schedule and Jamie pulled me aside and said here is the deal. He explained why what I wanted wasn't feasible and offered me options. I truly didn't appreciate this until after the wedding when I looked back on the weekend and realized had I pushed Jamie and them to do some of the things I wanted, we probably would have been WAY off schedule and made a lot of people unhappy. Post wedding - Jamie kept me updated on when to expect pictures and videos. I got pictures and videos way sooner than I thought. Both were amazing. They were so amazing that my mother and mother in law had NO COMPLAINTS! After seeing the photos and videos, my SIL told me she was worried about how happy we were going to be with Jamie's work cause he didn't seem like he spent much time "trying to get a perfect shot." She said he quickly arranged us and snapped one or two photos and he was done. She was worried that would not be enough to get the right shot but she said he proved her wrong! One more thing - my husband was not happy with the price when I hired Jamie. He thought it was crazy expensive for wedding photos and videos. In my opinion, Jamie was the only photographer and videographer who provided a reasonable and straight forward quote. So throughout the wedding planning process my husband kept saying we shouldn't spend so much on Jamie but then he saw his work and he was so happy we spent what we did. I could keep going on about Jamie and his crew but I think I've hit the high points. I HIGHLY recommend him! read more

We got in touch with Jamie to cover our wedding ceremony, after having researched a bunch of options in the Atlanta metro area. There was something in the pictures from his portfolio that spoke to us. His work showcased an attention to detail, and a knack for capturing candid moments in a way that was very unique. And the fact that he had experience covering south asian wedding ceremonies as well was a huge plus for us. Meeting Jamie in person, and going through his extensive portfolio sealed the deal for us - we knew right then that Jamie was our guy! And now, after having worked with Jamie on two occasions (an outdoor photoshoot and an indoor wedding ceremony), we can attest to the fact that he truly exceeded our expectations in every way. In addition to being super talented and adept at what he does, he is also very personable and extremely accommodating - attributes that we appreciated very much! On both the occasions that we worked with him, there was a delay from our end and we ended up keeping him waiting quite a bit. We also had a couple of date changes. Our wedding ceremony was in the wee hours of the morning, and in spite of it being super inconvenient to him, Jamie went out of his way to accommodate us in his schedule. And even though there was a delay in the proceedings at the venue, he made sure that the output was great. He's also super accessible and prompt in responding to questions and suggestions. It was really easy coordinating with him to set things up, and he made it very hassle-free for us. One of our favorite things about the pictures that Jamie has taken of us is that many of them are candid, and unstaged. We were not even posing in some of those, but Jamie has made it all look picture-perfect. And the ones that required posing, were made easy for us with clear instructions and helpful suggestions to help us ease into the photoshoot naturally. Considering how unphotogenic or camera-shy my husband and I can be at times ;-) - the pictures turning out as great as they have - is something that is entirely Jamie's achievement! We cannot be happier that we had a chance to work with Jamie to capture our big day(s), and recommend him without hesitation. Seriously, hire Jamie. You will be glad you did! read more

Jamie photographed my wedding this past June, and the pictures turned out so well! He was very approachable and professional when I first contacted him about photographing my wedding. He met my fiancé and I and showed us lots of his work and explained his approach. He answered our questions and had some very helpful advice about how to prepare so we get all the photos we want. After that initial meeting, in the months preparing for the wedding, Jamie made life much easier for me by being quick to respond to any of my questions. Of course, his professionalism and experience mattered most on the day of the wedding... and he did an excellent job taking charge and making sure we got all the pictures we wanted as quickly as possible (our church was strict about the time available). We are so happy with the results! Jamie did a wonderful job capturing not only the formal photographs we wanted, but also many of the smaller, important personal moments that happened at the wedding and reception. Jamie photographed my wedding June 2015, and the pictures turned out AMAZING!!! Jamie met with my parents and I several times to help plan the day. He answered ALL of our many many questions and had some very helpful advice about how to prepare so we get all the photos we want. Jamie was always quick to respond to questions and emails. While I was unable to use Jamie for my wedding photos, as he was already booked on my date, I have nothing but good things to say about our interaction. I requested a quote and after learning that Jamie was booked, he offered to help provide recommendations for other photographers and also provided guidance on how I should budget for a photographer. Jamie is an amazing photographer!! We did our engagement pictures at Hopeland Gardens earlier in the year and they turned out amazing! Jamie Howell photographed both of my sisters weddings, and when it came time for me to get married, there was absolutely no question who I would ask to photograph my wedding as well. In all three separate weddings (over a 6 year time span) Jamie took amazing pictures, perfectly capturing the essence of the wedding day. For my wedding, he took both my bridal shots, and photographed the wedding day its self. He was extremely punctual and professional while also creating a fun and laid-back (stress-free) picture taking environment. Jamie accommodated any and all pictures we requested. In addition, he was very creative in capturing the perfect images during our day. Along with the few posed pictures we requested, most of the pictures were candid and causal.
