The selection of bedroom furniture was ok- they did have a big selection of living room furniture though. This is not a complaint. We were happy to not have to drive far. The employee did inform us that several things could be ordered online. She was very helpful, and not pushy at all. We found something we really liked, and it was on a closeout price, so even better! We asked if they could wrap it, and they wrapped in foam and then plastic. Very secure- no need to worry about it getting scratched on the way home. We would definitely check it out again.

Despite all that this company thinks that having someone standing 3 feet from the only register open and looking in people's bags and marking a line on their receipt is more important than cleaning the store or actually checking people out! He literally watched her check out my 2 items and still wanted to look in my bag! Erin was working with the light department and explained to me that sometimes when the truck gets unloaded that updates the website but they do not typically put it on the shelf until the next day. I guess my facial expression must have been pretty obvious I didn't care for that answer. So she suggested calling the store manager on duty. On comes Allen. He heard the situation and realized me coming back in the morning wasn't a good fit. So he said it was going to take him a bit but he was going to go see what he could do if I didn't mind waiting. About 20 mins later here he came with the exact breaker I needed and apologized for the inconvenience. I thanked him for his customer service and saving me another trip. I took our shampooer in for a service after a sprayer nozel stopped working. The furniture attachment worked perfectly. The man sitting behind the counter stated he needed a $75 dollar deposit to work on it, which I was stupid enough to pay. He then stated, "You should pay me more". Why would any normal businessman make a statement lie this? I asked, why should I pay you more, and he gave me some unintelligible answer. He then tried to sell me a used vacuum, that he stated was new. The canister still had water in the vacuum so I asked, if it's new why is there water in the canister and he replied "because I am testing it". This man was a prolific liar. The price he wanted for the "new" shampooer was the same price for a boxed one at Walmart. Anyway, I left the store, angry. A week later I called about the shampooer I left there, and he stated that it was a "piece of junk". I then asked to come out and pick up my shampooer, and he stated that it was in Kansas City, about 40 milles away. Long story short, I never got the shampooer back, and he kept my deposit. He also lied to me and tried to extort money from me. If I can get one person to NOT do business with American Vacuum on the Belt Highway, in Saint Joseph, Missouri. I will feel that justice has somehow been served. That place is one thieving business. Customer beware.
