I opted for the grilled barramundi with an Italian tomato sauce and roast kipfler potatoes. With two gluten intolerant diners, this dish was our salvation from an afternoon of regret and pain. I was dubious about the specials menu but chose the salt and pepper squid salad with salsa and crunchy noodles. Oh my gosh. It was amazing. And huge. The squid was cooked to perfection, perfectly tender and lots of it. The salad was crisp and fresh, as was the salsa. My only issue was a red sauce that was dotted around the plate had very little flavour, but the salad was so good that it didn't worry me. Service was quick and efficient. My two problems: the dessert menu hasn't changed in ten years - identical offerings, just more expensive, so I passed. And the fact that prior experience says that I could go back tomorrow and order the same salad and get something terrible. Still, the salad was delicious and good value for money, and if they'd add a few more veggie or seafood-only dishes to the menu, I'd be visiting very often.
