My 11 year old daughter was there to get a simple haircut with long layers in the back and face framing layers. I showed the stylist a picture. She was not very friendly from the very beginning. She cut a bit from the bottom and asked how it looked but it wasn't enough so I asked her to do more. I felt like I was putting her out. When she was all done I noticed there were no layers on the side of her face but I decided to let that go and get out of there. When checking out she charged me for an adult cut so I nicely asked if it was 10 and under for children's cut prices and she was less than friendly when she replied. I left with my daughter and found out on the way home that while washing my daughter's hair she jabbed her in the eye a couple of times and didn't even apologize. Not happy at all.

She couldn't. She said there was nothing she could do and she was sorry, but she didn't feel comfortable putting any more chemicals on my hair . Keep in mind I'd already paid several hundred dollars for this process. I was told a manager would get back to me they never did. i'm sure for simple styles and haircuts or color. They're probably great. But if you can't do the fun colors, just tell a customer that upfront and don't lie to them. These hairstylist had no idea how to do an ombre. The first girl actually left blotches of white in my hair from the bleach. My husband who never notices my hair actually said to me on vacation why are there big spots of white in your hair.

She took her time to discuss my hair goals, needs and expectations. The parking lot is rather small and they still make you call in to announce your arrival to see if they can allow you in. She is friendly, easy to talk to, and just real. Sometimes the women I've seen at other salons can be a bit fake or flaky, but not Ashley. She also knows her stuff. Over the years she has taught me a lot about skincare. At each visit she takes her time to do it right - carefully waxing, tweezing, and everything else. Some staff at other places I've visited can be lazy or careless, but never Ashley. Also her prices are AMAZINGLY LOW. I read some reviews and called Metro Salon hoping there was an opening- and Jody picked up and found time for me the next day! I don't write a lot of reviews--- but my experience was SO GOOD I can't help myself. Jody is a true expert. She asked a bunch of questions to get to know my hair type and what I like, then dove right in. Gave me an incredible fresh blunt cut (exactly what I wanted!) without cutting off too much length- then gave me gorgeous natural highlights at the exact tone I was looking for. Seriously, I have been getting the same combo for 20 years (trim and partial highlight) and this might be the best one yet.
