It was a devastating blow, one far too many people have to endure. Following surgery on September 30th to remove the tumor, we learned it was non-small cell lung cancer. Chemotherapy began in late November. Chemo was very hard on mom, and she decided she could not continue. A body scan late December confirmed the cancer had spread to her hip bone, it was stage 4. When mom declined further Chemo, her Oncologist advised she had less than one year to live. This of course broke our hearts. Mom went through radiation on her hip - but declined further Chemotherapy due to the painful side effects. She was given less than 12 months to live. Dad refused to believe there were not other solutions - and undertook an extensive investigation. He was lucky to find CubaHeals. We were thrilled to learn she would be a candidate for CimeVax Vaccine. Mom, dad and my sister travelled to La Pradera, Cuba in March, 2017. It was one of the best experiences of their lives. They were treated like family, with love and genuine care. The team of doctors, nurses and staff took amazing care of them. Bonds were quickly formed. Following the week of treatment, they were sent home with Cimevax - and treatment continues. Late September mom had a lung scan and bone scan. Nerves were on high alert as we waited anxiously for results. Tears flowed freely when we learned her lungs were clear, the spot on her hip is smaller, and the cancer has not spread. Amazing news! I see a significant difference in my shape, and for the first time in my life, I have a flat stomach!!! The staff at 199 Ave. Rd. are one of a kind. From the first consultation, they show visible passion for their work as well as their clients. Every situation is handled with sympathy, honesty, and privacy. The girls in the front office are amazing. Lucy is a bubbly gal with an adorable pixie cut that feels like an old friend from the first time you meet her. Inez is a real sweetheart that greets me at each appointment with a genuine hug and a chat. Katie, Dr. Bell's patient consultant, is super helpful and knowledgeable, and makes you feel comfortable to contact her at any time with any questions or concerns. It doesn't hurt that she also as the best sense of humour. The staff in the surgical ward are also incredible. I was cared for by Diane the evening after my surgery, as I had to stay overnight. She was so helpful and friendly, as I was fairly immobile and on a lot of painkillers that first night, haha! She was amazing in helping me get in and out of bed, and was so patient listening to whatever morphine-induced babble was coming out of my mouth! Since my operation, I have made several follow-up visits to the surgical ward for aftercare. The nurses are so great and show genuine concern at each visit regarding your healing. Chris and Sal, the nurses whom I've primarily seen, are so fantastic. Chris is a great gal who treats you like an old friend, and is always upbeat (even when my drains had to be removed. EEK! She made it as fun as she could manage, and I am grateful for that). Sal has one BIG personality, he's full of sass and is absolutely hilarious. Dr. Bell is an extremely talented surgeon, but also a great man. He showed me great compassion from the first meeting, and has kept that same interest every step of the way regarding aftercare. I cannot stress how effective and pleasing the results of the actual surgery are, as each person's surgical needs are unique, but I can speak VOLUMES about the Dr. who performed it. Dr. Bell and his entire staff were great with me the morning of my operation, as I was a little weepy and very nervous. They all went out of their way to ensure me that all would work out safely and effectively, and IT DID! I have had to go back for several postoperative appointments for fluid removal, and each time, Dr. Bell is cheerful, and concerned with any aftercare inquiries that may arise. He, as well as his staff, take the time to make sure that you go home with a sense of knowledge, comfort, and the ability to take the best care of yourself as possible. I would recommend Dr. Bell and his associates to anyone who was considering a surgical cosmetic procedure. Even with GPs, it is difficult to find a clinic where the bedside manner is this attentive and friendly, and the results here are nothing short of amazing. Today, I am more grateful than ever. Again…read more Just two weeks ago, on a Friday night, what I thought was just a cough and the sniffles turned out to be something far more serious. With dangerously low oxygen levels and a rapid heart rate, resulting in shortness of breath, I learned that if I hadn't admitted myself to the hospital, I was only hours away from a stroke and# even a heart attack. It's a small lil' place, very welcoming and clean, but don't think spa. It is def a clinic. The clinic offers such an array of services, from massage therapy to naturopathy to nutritionist care. It's a pretty impressive shop. I got an hour long massage ($90) from Elizabeth. She was friendly and efficient. She suggested the first massage be a bit of an exploration and any follow up focus on problem areas. She was good on pressure and my shoulders were sore afterwards but they always are, it's where I hold my stress. I remember wishing she used more lotion/oil but again, not a spa. She's a registered massage therapist, she went for the kill. Overall I can RECOMMEND the clinic ESP on a trial basis. I've had better but not by much. EXTRA TIP- the massage price was reasonable but some of the other services seemed steep. I don't know market values though so take this tip with a grain of salt.

Havent had a bad experience at this clinic ever and I have seen pretty much every doctor on staff…read more All of their doctors are really nice. The clinic is bright and clean. There are well trained nurses to help get you settled in. They even have their own blood lab so you can get your blood test immediately without having to go to a lab and wait in line! Awesome ! The doctors are all really nice and they seem to have varying schedules and good coverage for hours. Walk-ins are excepted after 5 pm on most days. There is also minimal waiting for your appointments because they do over book patients for doctors. Usually called in in a few minutes. My daughter had a walk in visit due to vomitting and saw Dr. Krishna. He gave us some advice and said it was going to be fine. The next day to my surprise, I got a call personally from Dr. Krishna to check up on my daughter to make sure she was doing okay. This is definitely above and beyond the current level of health care standards in Ontario. Hopefully more doctors can be as compassionate and spend the time to care for their patients.
