This store is definitely not Forever21 cheap, but it has much better quality and an ever changing selection of well made clothes for good prices. Most of their tops are around thirty dollars and their rompers and dresses are around fifty dollars. Their Instagram is always full of pictures of enticing new items that they have in the store and I make it a point to stop in whenever I'm in the area. I'm also one that normally gets either annoyed by pushy sales people or feels like I don't get acknowledged when I'm shopping and this has never happened to me at Sei, the girls are all super friendly. I wish I could remember the name of the one that normally works at the Sei by LoLo's because she is such a sweetheart and is really helpful, she has red hair and is great. The clerk of the store had to explain to me some of the price points because there was one hat that I absolutely loved, but I could not spend more on a hat that said farmers market, then a full dress. The funny thing is when I got home I I told my friend that I went to downtown the land and she said "oh you really should have went to Shellsea, It's a great place and you would've loved it." We stumbled upon this home mercantile shop on a Saturday while exploring the area, and I'm so glad we did. They have a shabby chic/vintage vibe with some really unique pieces that have a more modern feel. They have some large furniture pieces, rugs & textiles, and curated antiques throughout the store. We got a few home accents/knick knacky things to decorate our home office and bookshelf. They also have some great faux plants/greens that are perfect if you're a plant killer like me. I was really crushing on all their kitchen tools -- brass honey dippers, cute measuring cups, cutting & charcuterie boards, stoneware, hand carved wood bowls, marble pinch pots for herbs & seasonings... the list goes on. I'm not much of a cook but this shop made me wish I was, haha. I also ended up getting a comfy dress and some earrings (they have a great gold jewelry selection), and I've already worn it twice (instant closet staple). I just discovered that they also have an online store, so now I can shop there anytime since I'm not in that area too often (YAY!). The woman in the store failed to tell me this before I tried on the shoes, and only told me after the fact, essentially forcing me to buy the pair of shoes that I was on the fence about. I ended up buying the shoes because I did not want to pay the $10 fee, and knew I was going to use them eventually. The shoes are fine, but I felt so violated and manipulated as a customer that it made me not want to return. Regarding the fee, there was no posted sign or notice in sight. Maybe this is a common occurrence in dance stores, but this was not a pleasant surprise, and I know the FTC and BBB will not be happy to hear about this deception and misrepresentation of pricing.
