I'm actually a size 14!   The foot scan and gait analysis were a great help, and Andi took the time to explain everything without making me feel rushed. She helped me find the perfect pair of Hoka Gaviota 6s, and was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely wanted to make sure I left with the right shoes. I even bought some fancy shoes laces. I have signed up to do the Camino de Santiago hike in June with several friends. This will be a push for me but I am excited in my training for the hike. I have been expanding my miles with the Brooks that I have but also realized I needed to "find my shoe" and train with that (plus have a back up). Andi got me started with two throughout assessments of my feet. I have had something similar years ago, but no where near as extensive. This alone made the visit highly valuable for me. I came in with an open mind and my goals. She was able to find 3 pairs that fit incredibly where and a whole size larger then I normally choose. The 2 Karhu will be for the hike training and the Altra are for the HIIT gym (where they have already proven to be a big improvement). Along with a sock recommendation, which feels like a perfect marriage. She even measured me for the medium knee brace to help with the gym. I look forward to coming back in the next few months to see how my feet are adapting to the training. Let it be noted, I live in Miami, where there are plenty of similar shops, but I split my time between there and Port Orange and I am always thrilled when I find a awesome place to shop up here. They sell authentic Bohemian and hippy-style clothing - with bold patterns and vibrant colors, a variety unique jewelry, decorative collectables, 60's & 70's era wall art, back packs, purses, hats, sunglasses, environmentally friendly tees, and so much more. We were here only briefly during the DeLandApalooZa event, but look forward to stopping back in on our next visit to the area. My boyfriend has a service dog who we were not able to get the vest for yet, and it's not like the dog legally needs to have the vest for it to be a service dog, I walked around and had a few items in my hand that I was excited about and my boyfriend and his service dog were walking around, minding our business, and a woman comes up to my boyfriend and asks him to leave because they don't allow dogs in the store. He explained to her that she's a service dog and then another lady came up and said "the dog has no vest or anything that says it's a service dog so if an accident were to happen, blah blah blah".. the service dog has a square head like a pit-bull so I'm assuming she meant that the dog would attack someone??? This is the kind of thing that people with service dogs have to go through all the time. I dropped everything I had planned to buy and walked out. I will not be supporting any kind of brand that will harass or embarrass their customers. Horrible place.
