They also sell candies and chocolates from Japan. My favorite are their school supplies. A whole pack of colored gel pens, folders of all shapes and sizes, and notebooks with cute anime characters and silly quotes are some of the things i check out when i visit Japan Home Center. Some of the really practical things to buy from here also include tissue paper (because it is sold by bulk), laundry detergent, and cleaning supplies. Their products come in big packs so, if youre looking to fill up a house with stuff you'll need, you can try buying from Japan Home Center and getting everything you need without spending a fortune.

Sometimes I buy a lot - pet accessories, neck ties, baking items, toys...but it never bothers me because I love everything I buy and again, they're so cheap! Also, a great tip if you're on a very tight budget for buying gifts on friendship day or gifts for any occasion really, is buying your presents here. Seriously, they may be cheap but a lot of the stuff don't look cheap. There was even this one time, I think I reached P1000+ on my purchases and they had this promo that if you reach 1k, you'd get a free vase or something in the lines of...a vase would be around half the price. Of course I accepted the promo with open arms. They had great vases! And my parents' anniversary was coming up so I got them a vase I thought they would like and they did! I have found kitchenware, bags, umbrellas, items for my pets and Hello Kitty things. There are times when they have book covers made out of cloth and liners for my shelves. The quality is rather okay considering the cheap prices. I mean, don't expect something that costs Php88 to last you for an eternity. It's my go to place when I need something right away and I don't have much money to splurge on the item. So why do I hate this store? Because the items are so cheap I end up buying things that I don't need. Not the store's fault really.

For some reason, whenever I enter one of their branches, even if I tell myself that I only need one thing and will buy nothing else, I come out with a bunch of other stuff and with way less money than planned. I once walked in because I needed a soup ladle. I came out with several large boxes of chocolate cookies, a wok, a shower curtain, and a bike lock. I forgot the soup ladle. The best part is, most of their products are capped at Php88. My wallet hates me now.

The best part is the prices are amazingly low, but the trouble with that is you're tempted to spend a lot of cash on so many different items. The Daiso in Galleria is one of the biggest cheapo stores I've been in (what would you call them? "dollar stores"? "88-peso stores"?) and it's easy to lose your time and money here, as they have everything and varieties of everything here: accouterments, kitchen supplies, toiletries, etc etc etc. If ever there were a zombie outbreak, you could probably hide in and live off of just this one Daiso and be set for a long time in waiting for someone else to save you, because as we all know you need guns or fire to kill zombies, and Daiso doesn't have those.
