Ended up selling my car to a private luxury car dealer got 3.5k more than M/point, so good if you have cash no PX, but would look at other methods if looking to chop in car. I viewed one of their cars in November 2015 and they didn't like being asked questions at all. I simply asked standard questions i.e. if the car I was interested in had been HPI checked and was abruptly told yes all their cars are HPI checked, however because of the shifty and quite frankly rude attitude when speaking to them I felt something wasn't right (the car had already been there for many months without being reduced) so I asked a mechanic to look at the car for me and he believed the car to have previously had considerable front end damage so maybe not HPI checked after all? Also see snippet below from an article in Birmingham Evening Mail in 1999. Needless to say I didn't buy this car and it is still sat on their forecourt for some unsuspecting person to buy. They obviously think the consumer to be stupid. Everything is reasonably priced and John and his team really seem to know their stuff, so even if you don't have a clue about cars, you're bound to wind up finding exactly what you need. Ample off-road parking is available right outside the store and several bus stops are within walking distance, so you'll have no trouble getting there either. The staff are great, the atmosphere inside is pleasant and John's stock is exceptional. If ever you're suffering from car troubles, you really can't go far wrong here.

They specialise in used cars and although at many used car dealerships you would expect to find a load of clapped out old bangers, there is a surprisingly good selection of cars on offer. They seem to have good honest staff which, as such, allows the customer to feel confidence in their purchase, after all buying a car is not a decision to be taken without due consideration. They also offer things like part exchange or an MOT service, so a trip here gives you more than one option and with the offer of finance it may make a car you thought unaffordable achievable after all!

When work has had to be done on the car it is always done to a good standard and the prices are always agreed in advance, so there are no surprises when the bills comes! This place is busy, so it's not always possible to drop by and get the work done there and then - even if it's a minor job. Having said that, if you pop in or call you can normally arrange a time for either later that day, or at worst for later that week. I recommend this place if you need an old car looked after.

All aspects of the service were explained to me, and I was asked whether any additional work needed to be brought to their attention. A confirmation email was received following my booking. The excellent 5 star customer service continued when it came to the day of the service. A phone call was made to me to inform me of the additional work that needed to be carried out, asking for my permission for this to be done after dropping my car off. They then telephoned me to let me know my car was ready for collection. When it came to collecting my car a breakdown of the work carried out was given, including future work that required to be carried out was explained to me fully. A visual health check document was given, so I could clearly identify what work and checks had been done on the car. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this garage again, and would recommend to friends and family.

Dealer called BSM in Lichfield to get the codes for computer as I didn't have the service book with me, we were told it was not possible to get them from my file as it would take too long! Girl on phone was rude and abrupt. Then ended up speaking to sales manager as service manager was out, only to be told he could do nothing and stated that I had not purchased the car from them. Ended up being recovered from Hull. As I had been a customer for the last 5-6 years (my car and my wifes) I found this level of "service" unacceptable, and they have now lost a customer

I was lucky it hadn't caused an accident on the couple of journeys I used it for. the bmw mechanic gave me a detailed video explaining how it was a death trap- GMC still denying any probs - so obviously have to go to court now. Watch out- these are dodgy dealers. make sure you check out any car they sell you via a professional before you buy so you don't end up duped like me.
