It was about 10-15 minutes walk from the Mariensplatz station. If we weren't walking fast for our dinner reservation, I would have took time for photo shooting as walk here was nice. They have staff speaks Japanese. Very authentic food here and Japanese people there at my table agreed how good the food was. They have sake and Japanese beer here. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the food. Highly unlikely of me as a Yelper, but I assure you the food presentation was nice too. If you are looking for an authentic Japanese food in Munich, I highly recommend trying here. Be sure to make a reservation as they are busy on weekday night too.

Overall, the service was really slow - we had to remind them several times for our dessert. I think I'll resist the temptation for now, but understand that this establishment serves some excellent food, and the main reason I'm not going all out yet is that they are also somewhat pricey. For lunch there are two alternatives for 12 € and a few more for 15 €. The 12 € alternatives are the better deal, as they include a lot of extras, making it a really complete meal, but the udon with Spanish pork that I had for 15 € was really delicious. For the evening visit we had the pleasure of trying a very good sake from their wide selection. The dinner dishes were nothing short of great (I had black cod), and a really nice touch was that when they didn't have the high-end Japanese whisky that I ordered, they offered up the second-best whisky for free. That's classy. They don't have sushi on the main menu, so if that is what you're craving this may not be the right place for the day, but if you want some other really good Japanese food, this is an excellent alternative in downtown Munich. I've also ordered a curry dish, which came filled to the brim with chicken, vegetables, and a delicious, thick curry sauce. The matcha lattes are also really good, served warm they are perfect for a cold, rainy day, and in the summer, it's so refreshing to enjoy an iced one. They have different specials on different days, Tuesday (Dienstag) is ramen day, and Thursday (Donnerstag) is gyoza day, and of course, this is my favorite day! The prices are very reasonable, and the decor is very cute. Plus, they play a nice mixture of J-pop, which is just so happy sounding! It's simply impossible to feel down in the dumps while you are here, and I highly recommend trying it out!

My husband had to take over and point out everything we did not order and that's when she looked and said oh ya, it's for the wrong table. Seriously?! Because we have had such a terrible experience I had to fight for the vegetable udon and not beef udon that was given to us. She rolled her eyes at me!!! But in the end took 3 euros off.
