I rate JAPCO Pest Control a 10 out of 10 score. My country home was under siege by ants of all types. Especially extremely harmful Carpenter Ants. We tried large quantities of most consumer grade products available from retailers like Home Depot and spent a fortune on them. More than the flat fee I paid JAPCO. Right from the first call I made to JAPCO staff and every dealing with their Technical Experts we were impressed with their knowledge and execution was top notch. Our situation was very serious and most concerning as they breached the foundation and ran rampant throughout the house. James and Mike, the Technical Experts were very personable and knew their stuff. With the shear number of Carpenter Ants it took a few applications but it is now one week since the last application and we haven't seen a sign of these damaging insects. I called JAPCO on 3 occasions to schedule visits and JPACO worked the appointments into my schedule. With the one year warranty I can sleep at night knowing they have my property and best interests in mind. There was no nickel and diming like some of their competitors as they worked on a flat fee. 4 years ago (in a previous apartment), I encountered bed bugs and Japco did a phenomenal job getting rid of them fast and effectively - I lived there 2 more years without any issue. They were super friendly, helpful and very professional. At the apartment building I live in now, they have called in Japco to take care of a mouse problem. I've done everything as they've instructed: remove all open food sources, sweep up any crumbs, etc.) but I still the hear mice behind (or in) my appliances and there are clear signs of them still here. Japco has been here now a few times but the mice haven't touched the bait traps, although the tech didn't even wear gloves the second time he handled them (mice are wary around human scent). Unlike the bed bug experience, when I asked him questions about mice in regards to potential health and safety risks, he seems very dismissive of my concerns. Long story short, based on my experiences with Japco Pest Control, I highly recommend them to remove bug-related pests, but if given a choice, I would not use them again for the removal of mice/rodents. read more

We live on an acreage and have used Japco on 3 occasions, twice for pocket gophers outside and once now for mice inside. They are my go to for pest control. On all occasions, they were very knowledgeable and very polite. This last time was for a mouse issue (the first after living here for 18 years). I called around Christmas and even though they had limited staff due to the holidays, James came and set up the feeding stations. We was very professional and knowledgeable. He told us where they may be getting in and what to do to close it off. He has been back a few times to check and know we are mice-free. He was amazing. I recommended Japco to our neighbour who had a problem with pocket gophers. She had used another company which was more expensive and didn't solve the issue. She was very happy with Japco. I will continue to use Japco and recommend them. read more

I spoke with Japco twice on the phone to confirm what we needed and setup an appointment to come to my house and help out with a wasp issue. He never ended up phoning back to even setup an appointment. That was two weeks ago. It makes me wonder what service would be like after he receives payment if he doesn't even have the time to return calls to setup initial appointments. I did talk to Poulin and they were a lot more helpful - gave me free tips over the phone! read more
