Even though it was the Fourth of July holiday, he immediately took my name and number to help me. Since he didn't have direct access to the security cameras, he had his brother check the footage first thing the very next morning and called me back right away and even said he had a gift for me because he felt so bad about the situation. We did have an issue with the ATM machines malfunctioning during our visit and the manager came to assist us. I made an appointment weeks prior since office hrs were so limited. Appointment was for 1:45 yet I wasn't seen by the 'Dr' until 2:45. So what's the point of an appointment. After I'm accepted & on way out of his office one of the secretaries announces that the entire waiting room is upset w the unacceptable wait time & she will be bringing in patients two at a time to move things along faster. Completely Unacceptable on so many levels. Dr Shapiro needs to re-read his HIPAA handbook & print some out for his staff. As if this wasn't bad enough... one month later I received a Denial letter from this state of MI because Higher Learning was using the incorrect version of the patient application w wrong information. The staff acknowledged that they had the wrong form but 'that there was nothing they could do'. Now 7 weeks later & I'm still waiting on my card & more importantly still cannot get my medicine. Don't just use this place because they are the close to home like I did. Make a better decision & drive a bit further down the road. Terrible experience

I brought him 10 years of records (which as we all know, isn't cheap) from several doctors. All of them documenting the dozens of treatments that I've tried, and he's concerned about how easy it is for him? My condition is extremely embarrassing, and not only was his attitude and my treatment shameful-but I can't believe this man is allowed to look at medical records, let alone keep copies.
