So, after receiving some info via email, I ventured down here to test drive the Ford Fiesta. The salesman David (who originally emailed me) was excellent - the right balance between imparting information without being pushy. In the end, the car spoke for itself and I decided that the Fiesta was the way to go, but I was impressed by the way David 'sold' the car, highlighting the features without doing the 'hard sell'. Delivery was very easy, everything was ready when they estimated it would be, and David answered all my questions whenever I had any. Would definitely recommend this dealership :)

A few days later I got a call and my little Mitsi was booked in. The repairer kept me updated as to what needed to be done via message so as not to disturb me at work and let me know when the repairs were going to be delayed due to a lack of parts. He even checked my wheel alignment as he was concerned that may have been impacted. They were flexible about pick up times and we arranged for me to pick my car up after hours with them leaving my key in an inconspicuous place. They might charge a bit more but saying that you know where you stand with them and they have a loan car which is very handy if you need one. Then on day 11 I called them to ask what time to pick the car up and was told that the car MAYBE be ready in another 3 days. When I finally picked up the car, the check engine temperature light came on after 5 minutes of driving. I remember when I was of an age when I had no idea how a modern combustion engine worked....actually, I still kind of assume there is a Hamster wheel somewere! Anywho, when I was younger I used to walk past the European imported car dealers and marvel at the Italian and German master pieces that I had only otherwise seen in the odd Bond flick. Solitaire was always a favourite destination of mine, and they still stock some of the slickest cars on the planet! They have expanded a lot over the last decade and with their major show room being the brand new silver and glass 'space station' on Belair Road. Whilst I haven't experienced their service department (I would die of shame if my car came within 100 metres of Solitaire!), I have had dealings with most of the employees through Christmas functions and they are a pretty good buch (surprising for car dealers).
