The sort of garage they could very easily broadcast the Today Show or Happy Days from without needing to clean the floor or wipe anything down; it is so clean and fresh it's almost an insult to call it a garage. I think it's great (as a car watcher) to simply walk past and admire the wonderful top end Caprice or Corvette they are servicing - it is a real treat is what I think. They have a great reputation and charge about $88.00 per hour, which seems pretty fair and not too over the top.

But I'm not kidding about his size. You'll be stretching your neck muscled. I've had a couple of cars serviced here in the past couple of years. Jon always offers a good price - the last service I got done here on my car he undercut the car dealer where I bought the car on price by a decent amount. He gave me a good explanation of what he'd done, with a detailed invoice and service with a smile. A scary smile, but a smile nonetheless ;-). I would suggest preparing any questions you've got, as I'm sure most people do before they visit a mechanic, and get confirmation on agreed price range and what to do if something major needs to be done (like needing new tyres). Jon is a friendly guy, and he offers a range of solutions to fit your needs. Just don't make him angry. You wouldn't like him when he's angry (ok, I think that's probably my limit for cracks about his size). If you're in need of a solid mechanic and you like supporting local small businesses, and you're in the area (or even if you're not) Jon is your man. Get down and give MMG a go!

They might charge a bit more but saying that you know where you stand with them and they have a loan car which is very handy if you need one. Redmont motors found only 1 thing wrong that needed to be done. To me that is a honest company that is there for customer service not the dollar sign and l appreciate what they did for me. My partner was recently in an accident. It was pretty severe with two cars hitting her as she…read moreturned right. While the first was an accident, the second was caused by a driver not wearing his glasses when he should have been. This caused the most damage and it was up to me to find a place to get her car fixed. The car was drivable but the damage was so severe that every place I went to said it would be a write off. We had a couple more options, one of them was this place. We drove the car in, got it inspected and were assured that they could fix it. We left the car with them, and about a week later returned to find that my partners car was nice and shiny again. It looked almost new and she was delighted. We were told that a lot of work was involved, but as it was an insurance job we didn't pay anything other than the premiums anyway. The staff were wonderful and a delight to deal with until it was discovered that the door interior was loose. When we took it back we were treated like a minor inconvenience. I say minor because while they were visibly annoyed they were still pleasant to us. Anyway, after the second visit everything was fine. However, if they had done the job properly in the first place it could have been avoided. I still rate them highly and recommend them for the simple fact that they were the only ones who didn't write the car off and gave it a shot.

Pulse has been good to me for a number of years, and they have been very kind to my unimpressive bank account. Every time something has gone wrong and I have needed new parts etc. They have come in waaaaay under dealer (and other auto repairers) estimates and they have always got the job done super quick. Their speciality used to be vehicle electronics, and it still is, though they are equally as good with all parts of your mechanised transportation module. The other good part is they are located across the road from the Alma, and no, 9:00 in the morning is not to early for a beer! Give them a buzz to book your car in.
