Having car trouble on Sunday when traveling is no fun! My situation was much more tolerable once Travis arrived with Jason's Collision/Towing. I had stopped for gas and then decided to go in the convenience store for a soda. When I came back out, the car wouldn't start as the automatic shift knob was stuck in neutral. Figured out how to remove the boot over the shift knob and push a yellow clip and unfreeze the shift knob into Park. Car still wouldn't start! Travis arrives in the tow truck and finds the issue is the shift cable was missing the bushing that holds it to the transmission. He said he had a mechanic that may be able to fix it if the part could be found. Unfortunately, no part was available and car was towed to VW Dealer in Marion, ill (55 miles). Monday morning, the dealer called saying they could only get the complete cable installation kit and it would cost $1977.00 installed. They also said the Part wouldn't arrive for 3 days. I called Travis and he sent me the number to a local mechanic. The mechanic had me picked up from my motel and we went to the dealer and towed the car to Johnson's Auto and Truck. The part was delivered and I was on the road back to Kansas City. I was saved by Travis with Jason's Collision and by Johnson's Auto and Truck repair. Turned out that I was Lucky, Lucky, Lucky! I'm not typically a reviewer of service-type places, but I recently had an outstanding experience with Jason's and felt like it warranted a write-up. We drive an 15-passenger van because...big family. It's about to turn 20 years old, so some things come up every so often. Recently, the cables that are inside the door that allows you to open them have been popping. Well, the back door needed those replaced, so we called the 3 body shops that were within jogging distance. Of those three, Jason's was willing to look at it that very day. We took it over, they ordered the part and told us it would be a day before it came in. They let us take the van home in the meantime and bring it back in a couple of days. The work was done when they said and it wound up being the exact price they quoted us originally. I think we've found our favorite local body shop! I had a flat tire about 2:30am near Paducah and Kevin and Josh were sent to help me out. They had a little difficulty locating me but stayed on the phone with me to assure me they would soon be there (I was traveling alone). They were professional in setting up car for towing and once we got to Paducah helped inflate spare tire (which was also flat!). They were also very helpful in giving me suggestions about where to find hotel and told me about Ford service center, hours, etc., so I would know where to go in the morning for tire replacement. All in all, they helped make a difficult experience better than I could have hoped. The customer experience I had here warranted a review (which I don't usually do). read more

Customer service like we received today is uncommon but greatly appreciated. Had trouble with a seat that was not reclining. Jason's identified the problem, told us how long it would take for replacement part and approximate price. We said it was too much money to fix in this 2007 model car. They put seat back together and wouldn't take any money for their efforts, indicating "all we did was figure out what's wrong; we didn't actually fix it." Honesty, a friendly smile, and professionalism makes for an outstanding experience which is what we received. We'd trust them with our cars again. read more

Took car in after accident.Back quarter panel damaged,drivers side back door damaged and back drivers wheel was rubbing.Was told it would take a week to repair and it was over two weeks before I got it back.Was told they had to repaint trunk too and took the Taraus emblem off and they would order a new emblem.It has been over a month and still no emblem.Trunk you have to push it in the middle or it will not lock,back drivers side window will not roll down,tire still rubs when some one rides in the back seat,molding on drivers side back window is loose.Will definately not be getting any more of my work nor will I recommend them to anyone.Very disatisified read more

I had locked my keys in the car. I contacted AAA for assistance. They have a contract with Jason's. The driver from Jason's came and unlocked my car. Before I could even have a chance to try to start my car, the wrecker driver sped away. Well, sure enough, the battery on the car was dead. So, I immediately called AAA back and asked if they could turn the driver around. The wrecker driver called back and said he couldn't come back because he had "a meeting." He was very impolite and unconcerned and told me I would have to wait at least an hour for his "meeting" to be over. So, I called another wrecker service and paid them to jumpstart my car. The driver from Jason's called back about an hour later, after I was already on the way home, and I told him I had gotten help. There was never an "I'm sorry you were left stranded"--nothing. So, the next day, I called and talked with the owner. He totally defended the employee. So, now, I see that their company culture is not to help people or provide quality service. He said it was all the fault of AAA because of the way AAA pays them. That makes your employees rude and impolite? How is that my fault? I was left stranded in a parking lot.
