What a great place to stay. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are really spacious, the fireplace is awesome, good shower and nice kitchen with cookware if you don't want to eat out. Very friendly staff. Clean place. Except coffee pot all appliances worked. Did not report issue to them, so they are not at fault.

My daughter & I & her 3 young children stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin on September 16th. The cabin itself was very nice but I have 2 "complaints" Firstly I do not agree when one is paying almost $400 for one nights stay that one should be told that any dishes used must be washed or there will be a $100 charge! Really??!! My other "complaint" is how they suggest for a dining choice the restaurant at Overlander Lodge which is a km up the road, which is not a problem as we didn't want to drive into Jasper or back to Hinton when it is dark. So the girl suggested a reservation would be recommended so no problem we will make a reservation. Well upon calling The Overlander a person did not answer so the voice mail said to leave a message & it would be returned. Left a message with our time request # of people etc. No one called back so we after waiting decided we would drive there & have dinner. Upon arriving we stood around with no one acknowledging us; there was 2 young women behind a desk one being on the phone which was most likely why our call had not been returned. Finally a waitress came & asked us how she could help us & I responded 2 adults 2 children 1 infant; oh she said can you come back at 8:00!!?? R u kidding me?? Yes that's no problem with 3 young children at that time of night!! Hello?? What really pissed me off was there must be 30 tables in that restaurant & there were people at 1 table! So hmmmm will I be back? Probably not unless I'm desperate & in a snow storm. Also do your own damn dishes. That's what you have cleaning staff for. Oh No One ever returned my call! read more
