This place is a new neighborhood gem. It's cozy. Operated by a really friendly family. There's a great vibe, everyone who comes in is happy to be there. The wifi is solid and the seats are comfortable so it's a great place to get some laptop work done. Great coffee drinks. Try the Hawaiian Torta! I'm obsessed with it! Delicious baked goods in the case at front. Ice cream. Crepes. Sandwiches. Smoothies. They have such a great varied menu! This is exactly what this spot on Roosevelt needed. read more

Cute little cafe! They have coffees, agua frescas, ice cream, sandwiches and some baked goods. The service was friendly. We tried two frappes and a chocolate shake. All were good. Prices were average for the area. There is a fee if you use electronic payment. read more

Java 12 needs better customer service skills, when I walked into the establishment the people behind the counter, which I'm assuming are the owners and their child ( young male), they stared at me and kept working asif their not use to having melanated people patronize their business...I'm not surprised! I'm going to give this place a suggestion, eventhough there's no suggestion box, to make real money in America, you have to recognize and be nice to every ethnicity in America (including the aboriginal) of America. When I go into a business thats in diverse locations where there is a lot of traffic and you're rude to one set of people that's patronizing your business, I don't argue with you about your behavior because you're very aware of what you're doing or what you have been taught by your parents...I just post a review on your site, contact BBB if I have to and of course I will not patronize your business again and I will also tell my people how you act when people like myself come into your business. I'm a melanated woman if you're confused. Lastly, besides the Latino woman who kept walking past mugging, the older gentleman (Latino), I'm thinking he's her husband, he didn't speak when I came into their establishment, he just put his head down and act as if he's busy, but he did say thank you when I left, that's why I gave the 2 stars because he could've stayed quiet The son looked like he was about 15, he didn't speak he just stared when I walked to the counter and I spoke first smh. I gave him my order and asked the same question 3 times while he took my order, which he ignored. When the young male gave my change back, I held my hand out to receive my change, he put it on the counter, the change started to roll over the counter, he then put the change together and I got it off the counter. For future reference to any community that has a business in a diverse area, where there are different ethnicity of people, don't shoot yourself in the foot and miss out on your blessing by mistreating people that don't look like you. I'm aware that you don't pay taxes for 10 years when you come to the U.S and it is what it is, I'm not knocking your hustlez but keep in mind you're in a diverse area and you can make some good money, but you'll need to take classes on how to treat folks that's not your own ethnicity or white....btw the frappe drink was okay, it was regular nothing out of the norm. read more

Usually, my dudes and I do coffee on Friday mornings . We have a circuit. Publican, Whirlwind, Broken Tart. Today we tried this spot. Pretty convenient, as we're all basically a 5-10 minute walk from here. The cafe is small but very bright and colorful (some would say instagrammable). Service was so kind and attentive. Coffee was very tasty. Prices are reasonable. Morning food options were tasty though limited. But as we were about to leave, they'd just finished making some baked goods which smelled so good. So we'll definitely return. Maybe a new stop on our circuit. But bring cash. They charge $3.95 for credit card transactions. I think that's kind of ridiculous. Not as bad as one of the places i mentioned above that have a surcharge for using a cc but don't even give the option of paying in cash--far worse. But this is a nice neighborhood spot. Went to this new place to try it out and the crepes were so good and cute little ice cream shop :) staff was very friendly also.

Highly recommended the mazapán latte and mango smoothie! Also the bacon egg cheese bagel did not disappoint! Food and drinks were delicious and service was amazing. We were greeted by the sweetest couple. Definitely will be coming back read more
