I called ahead to ask a few preliminary questions and Glen answered all of them with enthusiasm and clarity. So far so good. We visited the store that afternoon and Glen greeted us with a glowing smile and a hardy handshake. He began by asking a few questions to help him select 5 mattress set that would best satisfy our expectations. As we tested each set, Glen provided meaningful additional details about each one that demonstrated his vast knowledge and experience in the mattress industry. Within 20 minutes we were sold on a high-end Sealy Posturepedic pillowtop set with all the key features we wanted at an unbelievable bargain price. I know because like I said, I did my extensive research ahead of time. Glen and his assistant personally delivered our set the next day (a Sunday) at exactly the time he said he would (12:15 pm)! I came multiple times throughout the weeks to test beds and she found me the perfect bed! She explained each bed with details and comfort levels and why THIS mattress would be perfect! Stating my body was aligned with the mattress and spine was level and people with curves this mattress hugged to those heavier areas but still kept you aligned. Today is the FIRST day ever since finding out in 2003 about my Fibromyalgia that I was able to sleep throughout the night not tossing and turning, not shoving pillows around me, and under me to relieve pressure points, to being able to wakeup without ONE throbbing/sharp pain pressure point screaming. I told him no but I knew exactly what I wanted. I showed him the table and we went to the front to checkout. Him stated that the floor model was the last one they had and would I have a problem with that. No assembly? Shoot, easy for me. He told me the guys would disassemble it if they need to get it inside. Cool beans. He told me it would be a few hours before they could deliver it, so go run my errands (I guess I looked like I had stuff to do?) and they would call me. I thanked them and I did run my errands. A few hours later the delivery guys did call me and told me they were on their way. They arrived when they said they would, carried my dining room set up the stairs and in my apartment. If you're in a pinch for furniture, you should definitely check these guys out.

When I contacted Jax Mattress just over a year ago, I had purchased a home and was not bringing a mattress with me from out of state. Brad was extremely helpful over the phone to select a mattress that would work for me and I ended up adding a second mattress to my order because of the deal I saw on the website. Being that I needed the mattresses soon upon moving in, he went above and beyond to deliver them to me the day I closed between 8-9 pm about 50 miles away in Palm Coast. I know that Brad had taken his time away from his home and family to get us what we need and I will always have a special place in my heart for his loyalty to his customers. I haven't yet had a mattress company that provides that kind of service! The beds have been outstanding for the last year and when I need mattresses again in the future, this will be my first call. After being way overdue for a good night sleep, we ordered our bed off online. We looked at many places, prices, and mattresses. We found the one here at Jax Mattress to our exact liking, and wasn't going to break our pockets. The next day I received a phone call from Todd whom has been a tremendous help, letting me know the bed we wanted wasn't in house, so it wouldn't arrive until later this week, unlike the same day delivery that could be possible with many others that were ready to go. Todd even offered to deliver an upgraded bed to the one we were looking at, we declined, and decided to wait for our pick, and I'm excited to say Todd contacted me this morning to inform me my bed will be delivered tomorrow! I am so thankful I found Brad and the guys at Jax Mattress!!! We bought an EXCEPTIONALLY comfortable memory foam mattress for a FRACTION of what we'd have paid ANYWHERE else. My wife and I slept better last night than we have in the last two years! After a horrific ordeal with another mattress company who claims to be number "one", resulting in 5 beds in under two years and, ultimately, a class action lawsuit with the states attorney general, we have finally found a company that does what they say and sells good, quality beds. We will never go anywhere else as long as we live close to Brad and the guys at Jax Mattress. I will recommend these guys to anyone over any company. Vernon was the only one assisting people that day but gave proper attention to all of us. He was able to answer questions, joke around, provide helpful information to all of us with out putting pressure on anyone. A couple of the couples were returning from previous visits and Vernon recognized them and greeted them with a "welcome back". We had researched a specific brand and model mattress prior to coming in. This is the only location in Jacksonville that has them on the floor. Vernon was able to provide both personal experience and facts about the mattress we were interested in. He offered his knowledge on comparable mattress as well. We bought the mattress and was able to take advantage of the sale that was active. They mattress takes around 12 days to be delivered and they offer services to remove your old mattress for a fee.

BUYER BEWARE!!! We purchased a mattress and adjustable base here that was delivered in March. We…read moreasked for a King Koil medium firm king sized mattress. When we received the mattress, we received a plush mattress. I have fibromyalgia and never even tested a plush mattress while in the store. The only paperwork the owner gave us was a receipt and a piece of paper with suggestions for a new mattress- such as to give it up to 12 weeks to know if the mattress was right for you, along with the owner's business card. We never should've trusted that he had ordered what we'd asked for and should've made sure we had some sort of proof (though we had no idea what the "name" of each individual mattress was). We instead trusted that he was doing the honest thing. When the mattress and base arrived a couple weeks later, the base wouldn't work with our platform bed, even though we'd been assured it would. My husband was able to disassemble our bed and remove the platform, then reassemble it with the new base, so it would work. It was a few hours of work and a pain, but we made it work. The biggest issue was that our sleep was TERRIBLE. On a brand new mattress. Every time we laid on it, we'd both roll towards each other because there was no support. If we got up, there was a sagging spot where we had been. This was supposed to be a brand new, medium firm mattress. We kept telling each other that we needed to give it the 12 weeks to see if we'd adjust. We never adjusted, so after the 12 weeks we called the store and were told by an associate to come in to see what could be done. We went into the store and the associate that was there looked up our order and told us we didn't receive a medium firm mattress, we received a plush one. Again, we trusted that what we received was what we asked for. There was no paperwork upon delivery to confirm that, either. The order was placed by the owner, so we had to deal with him, and he wasn't there. A few days later we talked with the owner, who insisted that he had not ordered the wrong item and that's what we asked for. When we insisted that we had not, he told us he'd give us half of what we'd paid for the mattress towards a different one, but he otherwise wouldn't do anything. When we told him that it was theft to take our money and not deliver what we ordered, he became belligerent and told us that he would not be bullied into fixing this, his mistake. I understand that people make mistakes, but it should be made right when it happens. The owner of this store has a sign hanging up that says if you're not comfortable within a year of your purchase, he will make it right. Only he won't make it right. He's a good salesman, but won't stand behind his own policy. Don't shop here unless you want to be stuck with an expensive mattress that you dislike.

As I explained Bahia I'm a hands-on person tactile type of person where I have to see it feel it touch it. He was open to getting the recliner brought into their showroom. Though a very small narrow space they have a lot packed in there and a large variety. It seems that the majority of their business, however, comes from ordering the furniture through catalogs. I want to give Bahia, the sales associate credit for being customer centered, keeping a pleasant smile and maintaining a professional demeanor through my hundreds of questions.
