I am back for round two. Meaning this is the second mattress I have gotten from Jax Mattress. Same fantastic and knowledgeable service from Brad the owner, and oh the selection. Brad travels to the High Point Furniture Market once a year and makes the rounds until he finds a really great selection for his store. I still have my first mattress from Jax Mattress in my spare bedroom and I still love it. The time had come to replace my old King size mattress. I was pretty excited to shop for a new mattress because of all the new styles. I was torn between the new hydrid Reflection mattress from the Bed Boss or a more traditional pillow top from Jamison which is exclusive to Marriott Hotels. After trying out several others and looking at reviews I decided on the Marriott mattress by Jamison. I also bought a comfy Bamboo set of sheets, a bed frame, box springs and mattress protector. I got all this and delivery for less than the price of the mattress only at other stores. Not sure how he keeps the prices so reasonable and the quality so great but after three years I'm back and Jax Mattress is going strong! read more

My friend found this place on Craigslist when looking for a place to get her daughter a new mattress. She was looking for a good deal where she could pay 90 days same as cash. We found this place fairly easily on Powers. We came in on our lunch break around 12:30 since they are open until 5pm daily which can make it hard to get there during a work week. There were about 15-20 mattresses set up to try out. We easily found a semi firm mattress with good padding for about $400 for a queen. This included the box spring and came with a 10 year warranty. My friend found the 90 day financing before we went so she had it ready when she found what she wanted. Unfortunately of the four banks they use, she had chosen the one that takes the longest. We ended up being there for about an hour and a half. The owner was very nice, not intrusive when browsing and knowledgeable about his products. He helped to load the mattress on the truck and tied it down for us. Fairly easy buying experience. Good selection if you are on a budget or just don't want to spend a lot on a kids mattress. Their mattresses are made in the USA so that's a plus. They also sell dining tables and bedroom sets. There aren't samples on the floor, just pictures but they do offer them. If your looking for a mattress and not wanting to spend a lot on the top of the line brands, give this place a try. read more

I am handicapped and bought a bed sight unseen. After a few days I determined that I needed a wider bed. Because of covid, their manufacturer did not offer returns. Brad, the store owner, traded me out for the larger bed and only charged me difference and delivery. I've never met Brad, but he certainly did me right. I wold recommend Jax Mattress for a bed or any other furniture they sell. I want to tell you about Todd, store manager who delivered my beds. What a nice guy! Got to talk to him on several occasions. Honest, friendly and caring. The deliveries were bang bang professional. He was genuinely concerned about my welfare. I just moved into my new apartment and I needed a box spring last minute and Brad was more than helpful for delivering it the same day I called him. He was able to deliver it for me for a very reasonable price since I have a broken foot at the moment. He delivered a box spring and a mattress for me and was so efficient and quick. FALSE ADVERTISING! I'll start by saying that on Black Friday 2016, my boyfriend and I did multiple 5 star reviews for this company on different review sites and we were very sincere about how we felt at the time. Brad talked us through our entire decision making process. He explained the financing options in detail and what we should do to avoid paying interest and still be able to get the mattress that I wanted. My boyfriend went with me to help me shop but the mattress was for me and it was my first time buying a new mattress off the floor. I had heard good things about the prices there and there was a black friday deal advertised(I still have the picture of the advertisement but it won't attach.) with the advertisement for a fitbit with the purchase of a specific queen sized pillow top set. It specifically advertised, "fitbit" and the picture is of the FitBit Charge. I really wanted a double sided pillow top because I wanted to be able to flip it eventually and get a longer lifetime out of it. I decided on the one in the advertisement though, because it was a good price and the fitbit was over a hundred dollar value in itself. I was going to give the fitbit to my roommate as a Christmas gift. She was really looking forward to it. I had to send my receipt in to claim the fitbit and when I got it in the mail, it was a knock of with Chinese writing on the label. I looked it up online and it is valued at $15. I called Brad(who originally was extremely caring and helpful and even gave my boyfriend and I both memory foam pillows for filling out reviews for the store the day I made my purchase) and he claimed that he never told me that it was a fitbit and argued that the advertisement didn't say that either, and that I should google the distributors name(Symbol) and call and get them to fix it. I called Symbol and left messages for days and got no response. Finally(after Christmas) I got a hold of them and they apologized and said that the retailer created their own false advertisement and that the distributor's Black Friday deal did not advertise or include a fitbit and that it was always supposed to be a knock off. They stated that the add that he put on his website was one that he created with the name, "FitBit" and a picture of one on it. I don't know who is lying, but all I got was a half ass apology from the distributor and their rep, the retailor never followed up or apologized, and everyone refused to fix it because they kept pointing fingers at each other. The rep even said that he warned Jax Mattress against false advertising in the future, but that there isn't anything else he or the distributor(Symbol)can do. I am pretty livid. Brad was great during the whole process and went above and beyond until I called him out, then he turned into a completely careless and dismissive salesman. The sale was made, so I guess no one really cares now. My roommate is still waiting on that FitBit for Christmas. read more
