I have rather large hips and knew that I did not want a dress that would show them so knowing that I wanted a ballgown wedding dress. I worked with Michelle and she's a pleasure to be with. She only works on Thursdays and Saturdays when it's not prom season by the way. But if you end up working with her you're in luck. Long story short, I wasn't in love with anything Michelle brought over so I went elsewhere for my dress. I found it at Alfred Angelo of Manchester. (Click profile to read review about that location.) I've heard horror stories about AA alterations however so I took my gown to Delianne to be altered. My first alterations appointment was in March, my second appointment was in April. I am very time conscious and I hate when others run late. I work full time in retail so I did not have a lot of extra time during the wedding plan process. When I went in a second time the alterations before me was running late and I had another appointment to get to for my hair trial. My dress did not fit. The corset back was not sewn in originally and then it suddenly was. This is not what we agreed to when I had my first appointment. But they quickly fixed that. Next, we ordered our tuxedos from here because they have decent tux rental rates. We went with a Jean Yves tuxedo and the guys looked great. Joanne did wonderful with ordering suits for 9 guys. However, with tuxedo rentals they come in the week of the wedding. We had two groomsmen from out of state. One lives in Long Island and the other lives in Manhattan. So they could only have their suits altered the Friday before the wedding. The only problem we encountered was prom; they did not like the fact that I needed 7 suits altered the day before. Other than those two problems, everything was perfect.

My bridesmaids and maid of honor went there for their dresses. The dress they picked out was at the place I got my wedding dress (Marie Antoinette's, they're amazing) but we found it here cheaper. Everyone agreed and they measured them and ordered their sizes and told them they'll call them when the dresses come in. They NEVER called them. The only reason we found out the dresses came in was because one of my bridesmaids was going to prom and went there to look for prom dresses and they told her. When asked why they never called, they said they don't call the bridesmaids they call the bride... I never got a call either. Alterations were horrendous as well. They ripped a hole in my maid of honor's dress and tried to ignore it and pretend they didn't know until she pointed it out. They ordered a dress 3 sizes bigger for one of my bridesmaids, so she had to take it in by A LOT! The other bridesmaids had small, easier to fix problems. Now, before we realized all of the problems with the dresses I figured we would get the tuxes for the boys there too! Boy, was that also a mistake. The lady that sized them was very unintelligent. She had no idea what she was doing or how to measure anyone. Out of the 7 tuxes that were ordered, 1 fit the correct way. 1 fit the correct way. One more time, 1 fit the correct way. They didn't come in until the Tuesday before the wedding. Not a lot of time to fix all the problems. On top of that, the lady put the wedding date as June 31st. There is no June 31st. My wedding is on June 30th. I told her, June 30th. Above all else, they were never pleasant to deal with, always rude. DO NOT GO HERE!

She taught me so much about different styles, fabrics, and silhouettes. She genuinely gave me so much time and attention to feel out maybe 12-15 dresses (pretty sure I exceeded my time gowns )! Not once was I pressured to make a decision. What struck me the most was that she was so intelligent about each dress in her inventory. She was a wizard at piecing together exactly what I was looking for and coming back to the fitting room with more options. I ended up finding my gown at another store, but I can't say goodbye to WE without a huge thank you. So, THANK YOU helped me get over the anxiety and actually enjoy dress shopping! I would strongly caution anyone considering Stitch on Main for wedding attire or alterations…read more Our experience involved significant and repeated errors across both suits and dresses, along with extremely unprofessional behavior leading up to the wedding. Suit Issues: * All 9 rental suits arrived in the wrong sizes due to incorrect measurements taken by the shop. Several groomsmen recognized the measurements were off at the time, which is why I proactively provided correct sizes in advance, yet the suits still came in wrong. * Both fathers' purchased suits were also incorrect (pants several sizes too large, vest too small). * The groom's suit had to be purchased elsewhere days before the wedding after multiple failed reorders. * Most notably, one groomsman was given the wrong suit color entirely (the groom's color), which was only discovered on the wedding day. This is clearly visible in photos and should have been caught prior to pickup. * Groomsmen had to make multiple trips to the shop due to ongoing errors and limited business hours. Dress & Alteration Issues: * My bustle failed within an hour, forcing me to hold my dress for the remainder of the night. As shown in photos, I had to physically hold the gown to keep it off the ground, which made dancing and moving around uncomfortable and even left marks on my arm the next day. * The cups in my gown were not fully sewn, and a strap was sewn on twisted. * A visible tag showed through my dress, which I had to cut out myself on the wedding day after it was dismissed by the owner during my final fitting. * My maid of honor's dress was altered so poorly it was unwearable. * Additional bridesmaid issues included incorrect hemming, poor fit adjustments, and repeated zipper failures. Customer Experience: * When I came for final pickup, I was met with aggressive and confrontational behavior, including raised voices and items being slammed, bringing me to tears just days before my wedding. * Despite clear errors, I was told I would be charged for reorders caused by their mistakes. * After the wedding, the shop refused accountability, declined refunds, and instead contacted a groomsman directly rather than addressing the impact on us as the couple. As a group, we spent over $3,000, and the experience was stressful, disorganized, and far below what should be expected for a wedding vendor. Mistakes can happen, but the lack of ownership, professionalism, and resolution is what makes this experience especially disappointing. I hope this feedback is helpful for both the business and future couples planning their wedding.

She remarked how rude they were and even went so far to say they don't know their @ss from their elbow. The tux was ready but (2 days before the wedding) the shirt, vest & tie weren't there yet. Instead of being helpful, Carla was rude & didn't want to help resolve the issue. She instead decided to badmouth the groom to my poor mother who didn't understand what was going on. Most business owners have enough common sense to try & make the customer happy. Lying, being petty & rude never help especially when you're in the wrong. I am all for supporting small local businesses but Great White Way is one that deserves to go belly up.

I felt like I had hours and hours to decide. Maria laced me in and out of the dress I ultimately ended up getting at LEAST 4 times while I compared and decided. The alterations also came out beautiful and since I am eloping and won't have anyone to bustle me, the seamstress gave me color coordinated ribbons to tie up so that anyone can do it. Would DEFINITELY recommend. A wide variety of dresses in a wide variety or price ranges as well.

She communicated well and I believe she was fairly priced. It's nice to work with such personable people.
