Whether you are selling or buying, there is no need to research or investigate another realtor. A…read morefew years ago I was selling my north shore home, and after wasting months with a major competitor's blunder, Suzanne and Gretchen came to the rescue and my house sold. And now as a buyer, they again delivered results during a historic seller's market where odds of getting a beautiful house are very low. Many buyers have given up or ended up buying a house that doesn't meet their criteria. The Spring of 2021 was definitely not an easy time to buy. As I was moving back to the area, I contacted Suzanne and the house search started. It would have been easy to settle for a house way short of expectations and way over listing price with desperation running high for buyers. But with their help I found the house, and my offer was accepted (which is a big deal during these times). There were times when I was ready to buy anything, but Gretchen continually pointed out why a certain house would not meet my expectations (and she was absolutely right). She could have taken the easy approach and not point out these gaps just to get this sale done and move onto the next client. Instead, she spent the time and effort to make sure my needs are met. I am now in a great house, in a great neighborhood and it was a smooth transaction as well. Persistence, transparency, creativity and knowing their client's needs are just a few attributes of Suzanne and Gretchen. Closing was also a super smooth experience. As a seller, and now a buyer, I highly recommend Suzanne Powers Realty.

As we were walking through Suzanne asked, "is it yours to sell?" I thought how odd a question. I couldnt help but wonder does she ask all her clients that question? She also stated she would take a 5.5 % sellers commission instead of the customary 6%. I didn't think much of it until a few weeks after signing the listing agreement that she indeed was charging 6% and not the 5.5% she had promised. During the initial meeting she said she wouldn't be putting her agency sign outside because more and more homeowners were making that choice for privacy. I thought it sounded a little odd but this being my first time selling a home I didn't question it. None the less the second it sold there was a sign planted in the front yard. I had just purchased a new Samsung washer and dryer a few months prior and I had them listed as an exclusion in the sale, however I was forced to leave them when I moved. Unfortunately the refrigerator had a maintenance issue while the condo was listed and I could have spent $200 and had it repaired and all would have been good but again was forced to give the buyer a $2500 credit. Gretchen is nothing more than a bully and a thug and will say or do anything without any consideration for honesty to get what she wants. She accepted a low ball offer without consulting me and set up 2 closings, a closing for me alone and another for the buyers so we wouldn't meet, how insulting. While taking care of some final touchups before an open house one of Suzannes employees was lending a hand and started talking about Trump's stolen election and she couldn't understand why we couldn't agree with her. My friend found it so disturbing and unprofessional he left. If you see Powers Realty Group coming, turn around and run.

Peter was so swift to book showings early, do video tours with us when we couldn't be there in person, and we trusted his input when we were evaluating the houses we did look at. Peter's attention to detail was so appreciated with every house showing. He pointed out things we would not have seen on our own. He is so knowledgable and able to help us really feel like we knew what we were going into with each house we were interested in. It took us a few offers to get our home, and after each offer that got passed up, he helped us re-evaluate and consider other ways to stay competitive in the market. We would absolutely recommend him for any home buying/selling needs.

This made the stressful process of buying our house so much easier. I think it also means he's well liked by the seller's agents. Every little advantage makes a big difference in this market. He was responsive and knowledgeable about the ins and out of home construction. We could trust his honest assessment of the homes we were looking at. We never felt like we were getting a sales pitch, just information that allowed us to make clear headed decisions. Feel confident going with Peter, we are extremely happy in our new home!

Please, look no further and go with Ty to help buy or sell your next home. Ty is genuine, authentic, honest, reliable, professional and most importantly punctual. Ty and his team are the quickest in the business. We were in a tight situation timing wise and Ty was able to help us get a competitive offer out within just a couple of hours of us seeing the home! Ty and his team were extremely thorough throughout the entire process and communication was key. To top it off, Ty was readily available at all hours of the day to respond to my follow up questions that I had. Ty was even kind enough to send us THREE gifts after the closing. The seller was very stingy and would not budge an inch when it came to concessions and so Ty was kind enough to purchase us a one year home warranty for peace of mind! Ty even went out of his way and sent our family a gift card for a food delivery company since we were coming in from out of town. To top it all off, Ty gifted us a beautiful basket at the closing table with local coffee and wine. It's safe to say that Ty went above and beyond the job requirements and I know he would do the same for you too. One major added bonus that sets Ty apart from every other realtor is the fact that he also offers property management services! Ty really is a one stop shop for all of your real estate needs. We do not plan to move into the home until next year and Ty was able to find us a renter in less than 3 weeks to fill our home! He even gave us a discount on his property management services since it's a short term deal. Thank you again for all that you did for our family Ty!

Norm Terapak is an awesome realtor that I would highly recommend to anyone…read more I was recommended to him by a friend's family that have used him on various multi-units they have throughout Riverwest. Norm helped me for several months look for duplexes that fit the bill in Riverwest, Eastside, and Bayview. We first chatted for a while to get an idea of what I was looking for and the budget - he is very easy to talk to. After we got that, he set me up with an MLS automatic listing so I would be emailed the detailed info (way more detailed than Zillow or Trulia) about various places that include pictures, taxes, etc. I would email or call him on what places I would like to see and right away he would have a schedule of places we would see in a day or two. Norm always picks up the phone no matter what day it is or the time and is always willing to talk to you about whatever it may be. He used to be (may still be) an Inspector so when it came to walking through duplexes he knew what areas were big concerns and what were small issues. He could even roughly estimate how much or at least point you in the direction of an expert to get an estimate. Norm also performs Energy Audits so he will know how energy efficient various appliances and the house are. He is very patient as it took around 5 months of seeing places with my girlfriend and brother to finally find the right place. When the time came to make the offer, he drafted up the paperwork right away. He is very detailed on all of his paperwork and it made closing way easier. We went through with some offers and got an accepted offer. He was able to provide several inspectors to get when it came to that point after the accepted offer. Overall, Norm is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to single and multi-family units throughout Milwaukee, knows how to spot issues in places, and is very friendly and responsive on both the calls and emails. I would highly recommend him when it is time for you to look for a place.

I would HIGHLY recommend him if you are looking to buy a rental property. He owned close to 50 properties in the area, especially in the brady-street area. He knows his stuff and can give great advice if you are new to managing properties. All in all, he's a really great guy. He really represents what Milwaukee is all about. He supports local neighborhoods and works with you to find the best property to suit all of your needs.

I would not rent through this landlord/company. We (my roommate and I) rented from them for a year…read moreand it went well since neither my roommate nor I were around much. Pretty much was a place to store our stuff. We renewed the lease and they had upped the rent which is normal. They decided to make a kitchen update that we did not ask for and this was to be done while we lived there so our kitchen was down for a month. Not only was our kitchen down but our whole living room since everything was pushed up against the walls and covered in plastic to avoid dust or anything else. We were told that the workers would be working while we were gone at work and on several occasions they were still there for hours after we got home. All in all the kitchen was nice to have after it was done but no compromises or deal was made that since they would have our kitchen torn up for a month and that we would have to eat out more that they would take a hundred off rent or something. Next after a year of living there black mold was growing heavily in the bathroom since there was a wooden window in the shower that didn't open and there was no vent either. We had put in several work orders for it and nothing was being done. After 2 months of being told a new window is being ordered I called more sternly and it apparently never got ordered. Finally, after three months they replaced the window and pretty sure just painted over the mold. The new window allowed for us to open a small portion and get air flow. That helped with the mold problem but it was always an ongoing thing. We would scrub with bleach and other cleaning supplies but still it would come back. Either way I had gone to the Doctor earlier that year for headaches, dizziness and sneezing...turns out it was Sinusitis. This can come from dirty or moldy environments (Our bathroom). I was treated for this with antibiotics and having moved am better and don't get this off and on like I use to. Lastly my roommate and I got new jobs and significant others and asked if we could work with them to move out earlier than our lease. They seemed fine at first then they flipped a switch. They would show the apartment and not even contact me to tell me they would be entering. They found someone to rent the apartment for June 1st and we would be out April 30th. They told me it was all good to move out April 30th but now are telling me after I moved out that May rent is due and that I can move back in if I want for that month. Even though they are doing more updates ripping up the flooring and such then the next tenant wanted to move in a week or two early since that would help her get into this new apartment and out of her old they are stating they are taking all of the security deposit and its because rent is due. Having said they would work with us and everything was falling into place we thought everything was fine. Except now they stated we need to pay for all of May rent and to keep the electric on for them (while they work). Chelsea in the office is horrible at communicating and will play games like only contacting one tenant. She never contacted me until she wanted to inform me that May rent is now due but never for any other updates. In the entire time we lived there we never were late on rent and kept the apartment in great shape and were polite to them. They are money hungry and are very rude to the younger crowd. As far as we know they are taking are full security deposits even though they should only be taking $400.00 for a fee for ending our lease early. Office staff does not know what they are doing and the owner Joel will side with it since its more money he can have to update his properties.Take my advice stay away and rent through another company. I am just glad to be done with them. I have lived in Milwaukee for 8+ years and this is by far the worst landlord I have had.
