I was told word for word "we don't like to do removals unless there is a plan for you to get on another birth control". Last I checked, I am allowed to make my own decisions. The next week, I went somewhere else to get my procedure done told them my experience and the doctors were repulsed by my experience. If other DOCTORS are upset at this experience, I don't know what else with convince you not to come here. Please don't go here unless you would like to leave violated.

Terminations (abortions) are only done on Fridays. There is only one doctor and she takes as many women as she can. This place is sometimes open until 1 to 2am. So this lady is doing surgery for sometimes 18 hours just to get as much money as she can. The procedure takes about 5-10 minutes but the wait is 6-12hours. After they do the initial paperwork, sonogram, and "counseling" you can leave and they call you to come back. When they call you back there is no room that you change into. It's literally a small waiting nook that has a bathroom. There are no gowns, just a thin drape that is used to wrap around you. Then you are sitting in a cheap chair with that thin drape. When it's your turn you are walking with that drape to the "operating room". The "operating room" is the same room as the "recovery room," just behind a door. That doesn't really matter because you can hear everything through the door. You can hear the other woman crying in pain. You can hear the tools being used. When you get into the room they have you get on this cheap table. There's literally only one hospital pad down. The nurse was really rude. I am allergic to the antibiotic that they use. instead of offering me an alternative all she said was, "oh I will just give you Ibuprofen." In the counseling session it explains that they give you an antibiotic to prevent infection before the procedure. I had to ask the nurse to give me an alternative. She was reluctant to do do. Tried to say she will give it to me afterwards. I chose the sedation option so I would have been a little out of it to even remember. So basically she was just trying to not give me penicillin (the alternative) so after I forced her to ask the doctor if it was okay, she gave me the pill. Then I had to ask her to hand me water to take it. The lady had no bedside manner. Then when the doctor came in she switched her manner and called me sweetie. The sedation makes you groggy, but you are still aware of your surroundings.This is a painful procedure. They say they numb you but it honestly feels like they skip it if you get sedation because it's literally so painful. They don't comfort you.They don't talk to you to let you know what they are doing. They just want you to sit still. The worst part is during this process they are laughing and talking about their personal lives while you're in agony. Then right after procedure without communicating with you they just move your legs from the stirrups to stand you up while you are still under sedation! They throw a pad in between your legs without any type of underwear to hold it up. You are just transferred with that thin drape on and that one pad into a bare geriatric chair. Then they roll you out of there into the "recovery room." An open area where you can see everyone and are barely 2 feet away. A nurse offers you ginger ale and pretzels. The ginger ale that is used is a 2 liter that is not refrigerated. They are pouring it in small little Dixie cups. The pretzels are from a bag. The water is tap. The nurse ask if you want a heating pad and a blanket. They are just taken off one and given to the next girl. The nurse goes around taking the blood pressure of whoever is in the room. She doesn't sanitize in between. She takes your bandages off and IVs without sanitizing in between. While you are recovering you can hear the next woman's procedure. Then within 30-45 minutes the nurse is trying to get you up to get dressed. I had to tell the nurse I was not comfortable walking because the sedation was not even worn off yet. When you are finally ready you are walked to a bathroom to change, which is not sanitized between each person. There is blood and other bodily fluids. People do have diseases! You are given one pad with your belongings. Woman are treated like an assembly line. It's very inhumane. WOMEN DESERVE BETTER!!!

There should be signs in the waiting room about using phone for videos on silent or with headsets. Because they already have a tv making enough noise. There should also be signs saying you can't use the cell phone as a phone in the waiting room. Headsets are needed. The welcome reception desk is nice. Well organized. Pleasant. Smooth. The appts seemed to be running on time. The rooms were clean and didn't feel cramped. The exit process was easy and smooth too. All in all this was a good place for a dr visit. They lost a star because the waiting room isn't managed as well as it should be. A few signs and a little bit of enforcement from the front desk staff will do wonders. I'd point out the tv isn't needed, or at least the volume doesn't need to be on, closed captions would be fine.

As I arrive I didn't even know the scheduled time of his surgery until I got his folder thankfully only a 45 minute wait and we we're done with his surgery in 15 minutes

Prequel - I had one surgery, at a hospital, a year before being made to come here for an unrelated…read moresurgery. For the hospital surgery: no food or water after midnight, be at the hospital at 6am, surgery at 7am. Everything was wonderful. That's what I was expecting would happen here, but what happened here was a nightmare. Issue #1 - They don't tell you what time your surgery is scheduled for - ever. They will text you the day before to tell you what time to BE there, but they do not tell you what time your surgery is scheduled to take place. Issue #2 - They require that you have someone with you, to drive you home afterward; this is understandable but without that person knowing what time your surgery is and what time you're expected to be discharged: they're expected to clear a whole day to be available for a surgery that may only take a half hour. Issue #3 - The 'no food or water after midnight' rule is outdated and untrue. The American Society of Anesthesiologists issued guidelines in 1999, 2011, & 2017 that patients may have clear liquids up to 2 hours before surgery. The old guidelines/rules were invented in the 1950s when pregnant patients were 'anesthetized' with ether on a mask, which caused nausea and for the patient to vomit up their stomach contents. Today, an endotracheal tube is used to prevent this from occurring, so liquids should be allowed up to 2 hours prior to surgery. Issue #4 - Snarky Nurse. I pressed the 'call' button to ask a question - just one question - and I heard her say: 'Ugh, this girl is gonna keep my on my toes!' (Sorry, nurse, to have interrupted your wedding planning conversation to ask you a question, which the intake nurse said I was more than welcome to do as often as I liked. But I've been sitting in a curtained-off room for two and a half hours and no one has given me an update aside from 'It'll be about 45 minutes to an hour until your surgery' - and that was at Noon. It's now 2:30pm, I'm thirsty as hell because I haven't had any water for nearly 13 hours, and I have jack sh*t to do because I was told to not bring any books/phones/valuables - which I suppose is good because I saw some Google reviews where patients woke up to find some of their valuables 'missing'). Issue #5 - The attempted to gaslight me, and offered me unnecessary medication. After I asked: 'How much longer until my surgery?' the Snarky Nurse went and got the anesthesiologist's 'helper / #2 man' who came into my 'room' and told me: 'You're anxious.' I informed him that I was NOT anxious, just irritated that it has been nearly 3 hours since I was checked-in and no one will tell me what time my surgery is going to take place. I had spoken to him earlier, because everyone involved in your care that day will come over and introduce themselves, and that had been the only time I had spoken to him - and I was not anxious then, either. Now, he had no other reason to think otherwise - aside from Snarky Nurse, who likely did not want to 'deal' with me after my one very-normal question. He briefly disappeared, then returned and offered me 'some of the pre-surgery sedation medication to calm you down.' I told him - again - that I was not anxious; that I was mad about the wait time, frustrated about being so thirsty for the past 13 hours, and had no interest in receiving any 'shut up drugs' for simply asking what time my surgery was going to take place. Issue #6 - Overall Wait Time. I waited nearly FOUR HOURS to be taken back to surgery. That's 16 hours of no water, for a person who dehydrates quite easily. Absolutely unacceptable. Issue #7 - Billing. I was required to pre-pay for the surgery, which I did. The young lady I spoke to informed me that I would not receive any further bills or charges from this Center. Months after my surgery, I received a bill for 'anesthesia services' for over $200. This qualifies as a 'Surprise Medical Bill' which I believe violates the 'No Surprises Act' which went into effect on January 1, 2022. And I did report it as such. Issues I've Found by Others - one Google user claims to have gotten a staph infection from this Center. Several Google users have stated that their surgeries were cancelled on them. A couple of Google reviewers stated that they were over-charged by this Center. One person stated that they were man-handled by a nurse after being woken up from anesthesia on the very spot that he had just been operated on. One Last Note - A Boomer-aged woman who works there was having computer issues and was on speakerphone with an IT guy and she kept shouting into the phone: 'IS MY PASSWORD STILL CATHOLIC HEALTH 4 ?!?' Every patient in the pre-op area now knows her password. A password to a computer, within a medical network of computers, that very likely collectively contain the private medical information of many patients. Probably not the smartest thing to be shouting over & over again, when everyone on the floor can hear it.

Then a letter several days later saying they are changing my daughter's appointment. I left the practice personally years ago because they constantly changed appointments. My daughters both left because of treatment described in my earlier review. It would appear this is not a well organized practice as well as employing a WHNP who does not treat young patients with respect.

So I've been a patient here for a little over a year and a half now. It is almost impossible for me to request a refill (for my endometriosis prescription)over the phone. Nobody knows what they're doing. I call their number and the receptionists sound like they don't know what to do with this information. Each time, they are very rude to me. I get told "I'm gonna give you to a nurse" and then I'm bounced around from different nurses not knowing what to do for my refill. This happens every month, since my doctor there puts a request for refill on each prescription, so I have to reach out to them. Sometimes, I'm told "oh I'll send this to a nurse and they'll call you back"... and days will pass by, nobody calls me and no refills were sent through. But today was the last straw, I saw my GP for an issue and she said I needed to see my gyno right away as it was growing to be a serious issue. So I called, and I explained my situation, asking if I could schedule the earliest appointment they had. I get rudely spoken to over the phone by the receptionist who claimed "well I see you have a check up in April, that's probably when they'll see you. But I'll send this to a nurse. They'll call you back". And then hung up on me. So I already know the chances of someone calling me back are slim to none. It is March 24th. My appointment is for April 28th. That is over a month away. Now, I understand if that is the soonest they could see me. But this isn't a routine check up. It's a concerning issue, and to be rudely spoken to for no reason, and told that someone will call me back and just hung up on, that is so unprofessional. I'm upset because I have an issue that is concerning me and I just would like to be treated with empathy. I'm upset because no matter who I seem to talk to, I get rudely spoken to, and talked down to. I'm upset due to the lack for unprofessionalism that seems to be everywhere in this doctors office. I do not recommend this place.
