The restaurant is actually located in the back of the building. We parked street side since the back was full from festival ride and food trucks setting up for an event. The place was busy. Not a seat left at the bar. The tables were pretty full so we immediately thought we made a great decision stopping at Nexxy's. Unfortunately it took a while for the server to come by our table. That was okay but she immediately went to handle tables of locals she obviously knew that walked in after us. When the sever took our order she didn't seem very happy but we smiled and tried to be as friendly as we could and she warmed up. For being so busy, our server was the only server on duty. I believe the owner had to com out and help. We ordered cocktails and our server made sure they were made correctly which was great. We split the bacon burger and a large pepperoni & olive pizza. The burger was dry, we ordered a medium burger but it appeared to be a frozen patty so obviously there is no way to make it medium. The thin crust pizza was not crispy but soggy, however it did have decent flavor. We would have ordered more drinks but the server never came back to ask us if we wanted another drink, she just dropped off the check and walked away. This is definitely a locals spot so you will get great service if they know you. If you're not a local, you may be waiting a while.

I came in your bar, bought a pizza, bought plenty of beer, plus a couple rounds of shots and was shooting pool in the corner peacefully with my family, causing no issues...and you still decided to come up to me and ask me to leave because someone in your bar, had an issue with me. It sounds like their problem, not mine! What did you tell them?!? I kept my distance and never said a word because I had nothing to say to the individuals in your bar I didn't care for. That's what adults do... Don't make it my problem if I'm not causing a problem. I guess this bar has turned into a "if you hurt my feelings" you need to get kicked out bar!! I'm a lifetime local and this made me feel like shit... This never should have happened and could have been avoided. So sad!!!

Visited for dinner 3x this year and the new owners seem to have focused on the food being better. Gone twice for Friday night fish fry and the quality of the fish has been a pleasant surprise. I distinctly remember last year coming in later in the evening for a fish fry and getting a baked potato that was a dried out relic. Ordered one this year and it was fresh and hot. Little things like that make a big difference. Fish seems to be hand breaded and they also offered a broiled option which comes with delicious garlic butter to dip it in. You can get soup and salad bar and the soup is always good although the salad bar can be a bit picked over if you come in later like we tend to... My dad has ordered the drunken captain chicken twice and raves about it. Even the picky eaters in our family are content going there. We had the same waitress on a couple trips and she is so friendly and attentive you never have an empty drink. I would say my only complaint is the old fashioned. They are so small you take a couple sips and it's empty. Bigger Glasses! Overall it seems like they are intent on moving this place in the right direction. It used to be the top spot in town and hopefully it is again! Lots of things to do...pool tables, video games, and they always seem to have music, trivia, karaoke or something going on.
