They have tetherball, horse shoe and a tree swing. They also provide picnic tables if you want to relax outside. There's a park that has a playground, walking track, tennis court and baseball field in walking distance. If you're lucky enough, maybe you'll get to taste some of her delicious pumpkin bread! After I arrived, however, I was told the price was $700 per month. There was no written lease or rental agreement explaining the difference. I paid the $700 for the first month. The following month I was charged another $700. Then I received a bill for $738 with no itemization explaining the additional $38. When I questioned the difference between the advertised $500 rate and the $700 I was being charged, management refused to correct the website price. I was also told that what I was paying was a "subscription" rather than rent, which I found very strange. For comparison, I eventually moved to another RV park. They charge $450 per month plus electric, exactly as advertised, and I received a clear receipt showing what I paid and what the deposit was for. My issue isn't simply that Camp Mi Casa charges $700. A business can charge whatever it wants. My problem is advertising one price and then charging a different price after the customer arrives, without a written agreement or clear itemized billing. I would strongly recommend getting the exact monthly price, all fees, and the terms in writing before committing to a stay at Camp Mi Casa. My experience was enough that I chose to take my business elsewhere.

The store: Ice cream, ice, coffee, food, snacks, gifts, candles, RV supplies, and WOW do they have Traeger supplies, grills, and accessories. I've never seen so many Traeger products in one place! You name it, they've got it when it comes to Traeger. Duck Nuts. Yum. Buy extra because they are addicting! The one thing I wish they had is a reverse osmosis water dispensing machine. It's so much less hassle than buying all those bottles of water-and creating more trash-not to mention better quality water for consuming. They also have Mexican food freshly made under the tent on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday nights from 5pm to 8pm. It's not Tex Mex, it's the real deal authentic Mexican food and it's so tasty. Priced reasonably too. I would suggest calling before going just in case dates and times might have changed. It's a BYOB. Seating is picnic tables or take it to go. Rutlader's is the best kept secret in the countryside outside of Louisburg. If you're traveling on Highway 69, it's an easy quick stop in the wildlife area near a big lake. Beautiful area!

I'm told they offer cable tv too, but my camper does not have a television, so there's that. You may notice the occasional train horn and freeway noise, as it's right off I-35, but I just put on some headphones at bedtime and everything was just fine. The park has many different lots, some pull through and some not. But most that I have seen have power, water and sewer. As others have said, there is a restaurant ( Huddle House ) next to the Flying J / Pilot gas station on the other side of I-35. I'm headed there next. All in all, probably worth a stop for a night or two.

There is nothing quite like standing in the middle of a tall grass prairie with supercell thunderstorms all around you and you can see the gusts of wind move the grass in giant waves. While many of you will not visit in the middle of a storm chase, it's definitely a beautiful place. The small but info packed visitors center has limited days of operation, check the website before heading out there if you want to go inside it. And yes they have a herd of buffalo that sometimes you can see. Sometimes it seems the prairie swallows them up. But if you get to see them it just seems like an ideal setting for the experience. They have trails that are worth a walk. Bring your own water, don't assume you will find any at the visitors center. Naturally, 4 Stars.
