SPACE// The look is a bit trendy that doesn't really match the feel of the place or dining experience. Gives the place a bit of an artificial farce-like feel. The dining area is essentially a long corridor, so what you see in the photo (count the tables to get an idea of depth) on Yelp is pretty much it. SERVICE// Service was pretty nice. One of the waiters was a bit chatty/putting it on. But you can't fault him for trying, better than a surly attitude. He made recommendations, answered questions, and was patient, so overall it was nice service. FOOD// Okay to good. Portions were nice, too. US citizens dining with family that included a brit, and german. The Naan we ordered for an appetizer was good, but once we were brought our food, it went down hill from there. The dishes we ordered were: prawn korma, chicken Tikka masala (requested spicy), chicken Tikka w/ salad, and lamb Tikka basrati. The korma was quite terrible. The masala was like tomato sauce. The chicken Tikka was good, but don't be fooled by the word salad. The basrati was delicious. When the waiter came and asked how our dinner was, we gave him an honest answer that the korma was not good. He did nothing to change it, so I swapped with the person in our party so she wouldn't be miserable. Later I asked our waiter for some hot red chili pepper to try to improve the dish and he gave me the black pepper shaker.. Our glasses stayed empty the whole meal too. read more

This is one of my favourite restaurants. Food is fantastic. Recently redecorated. Have always found the staff to be pleasant. At the end of the meal they always put down a plate of oranges, with a fragranced wipe, then free shot & with the bill they have chocolate mints. But in all honesty the reason I go back time and time again is because the food is delicious and the the portions are a really good size. read more

Love this restaurant, always had great service, greeted like an old friend even tho they can't possibly have recognised me. Naan the size of a teatowel and a balti that hasn't changed in 15 years. Can't compare to other indians in the area as I've never had a reason to go anywhere else! Bottle of wine to take home at xmas a nice touch especially after free apperetifs. 2 course meal for 2 circa 20 quid with drinks and enough for breakfast. Bargain. read more

This is prob the best Indian in banbury for a take away and for a low-mid ranged price, the service is good and very quick on delivering food, they can cater for big parties and also will customise your food if you want it hotter ect. great for a take away if u cant be bothered to cook. read more
