We just got back (12/13/25) from 12 day Christmas markets tour in Prague, Vienna, and Budapest. JayWay did a great job of picking hotels for us, all 3 were very good. They also provided us with 6 private drivers to get us to and from airports and train stations. This was VERY helpful, making our transfers completely seamless and relaxed. They have a local representative in Prague who checked in with us every few days, and came to our hotel twice to make certain that all of the tours were scheduled to our liking. read more

ROME, VENICE, SPLIT, DUBROVNIK, SARAJEVO, BELGRADE, SOFIA. My husband and I traveled to southeastern Europe with Jay Way this summer. We were on a cruise that finished in Civitavecchia located 90 minutes outside Rome, where we were first met and driven to the Rome train depot from where we traveled to Venice. Then we flew back to Rome, caught a plane to Split, a ferry from Split to Dubrovnik, an automobile from there to Sarajevo and auto from there to Belgrade and then auto to Sofia, where our trip ended. Most importantly, all the guides and drivers were prompt, always polite and cordial, dependable and knowledgeable, especially the girl Hanan in Sarajevo and the gentleman in Belgrade, who gave us a fantastic car tour around Belgrade with stops, who also drove us to Sofia, with stops along the way. Some of the drives were quite long, through mountains, and these drivers were heroes, especially from Sarajevo to Belgrade, Iviza. . LUGGAGE ISSUE. At first we had planned to visit Slovenia from Venice and go from there to Ljubljana, Zagreb, thence to Split. However, given the dearth of reliable train transport, the agency determined it would be advisable for us to go from Venice by plane to Split. We thought that was ok but didn't look into it closely, and I don't know if Jay way did inform us at decision point that we'd have to fly back to Rome from Venice and then transfer to Croatia airlines in Rome, to get to Split. This resulted in the loss of our luggage. Eventually it was recovered in Split. However, with more initiative by personnel, it could have been picked up much earlier than it was finally delivered to our hotel. EXTRA EXCURSION ISSUE. In Dubrovnik we had scheduled an extra day. We looked for some excursion and the only one offered was an auto trip. Later we discovered a ferry excursion from the seafront in Dubrovnik to the historic town of Cavtat. It was a perfect excursion for that afternoon, but the guide didn't mention it. This company has an online list of excursions and activities in every place you visit, but it's not always easy for phone users to check the list when things come up. I don't know if Cavtat is on that list for activities around Dubrovnik. The ferries are inexpensive and apparently connected to Dubrovnik, not to any travel agency. Also, the agent could have told us the old city is 5 minutes from our hotel by bus #4, which saved taxi money. THE VENICE TRAIN DEPOT. We were not familiar with the way one boards the trains in Venice. There was a desk with English speaking help but someone did tell us we only needed to watch a certain monitor with the trains listed there, to find the one going to Venice by a certain number on our itinerary. It didn't come up on time. Then a gateway was listed and a queue formed at that gateway to pass through inspection showing the train on our phones and passport. This depot is huge, has restaurants up escalators if one has time. There were three different law enforcement agency police patrolling. HOTELS. The morning walking guide trip for each stop was very good. The hotels were clean, and each one unique. The Venice hotel was near the St. Mark square and restaurants. Split was next to Diocletian's palace and a block from the sea. Sarajevo was near the main bazaar streets and next to streets lined with crowded outdoor bars. Belgrade was in a small tourist area with different live competing music at each door and just two blocks from the city's downtown walking area, the National Museum and the National theatre. read more

I have a credit with JayWay Travel (New Rochelle, NY). I sent JayWay an email on Aug 10, 2021 requesting a private tour package in Germany (guides, transportation & accommodation) for three days in September. Their response was to decline my request, indicating "Our packages have a 5 night minimum and we also only offer packages with hotels included." I could not find any documentation about JayWay's "5 night minimum" in any documentation that I received from them or in their published Terms and Conditions. I feel that the credit that JayWay Travel agreed to provide is a bait and switch strategy. read more

About 1 year ago my wife and I discussed going to Europe. After researching online different travel companies I decided on Jay Way travel. After I gave them the country's I wanted to visit and the time frame and budget they went to work. I dealt with Jared one of their local representatives who sent me a sample itinerary. From that itinerary I was able to pick the hotels, tours and anything else. I was also put in contact with our local representative in Prague.Martina agreed to meet us upon our arrival at the hotel. She also printed out any tickets or vouchers we needed. Lastly, we were provided a local cell phone with charger and her phone number was programmed into the phone. Throughout the trip if we had questions or wanted to change something we either called or emailed her. We always received a prompt return call or a quick return email. Since everything is planned in advance we only reached out to Martina a few times during our vacation. All tours and drivers were always on time or early. We booked a 15 day visit to Krakow, Budapest, Vienna and Prague, with hotels, introductory tours, transfers, folks to meet and greet us in each city...the whole shebang. Superb service, immediate, effective communication and courtesy beyond excellent.
