These guys keep me in the Loop! This is a fun radio station…read morethat serves the community. They play a local playlist of bands from Chicago, songs about Illinois, and talk about local political and social issues. Since this station is on the left side of the dial, there's no real commercials on here- it truly serves the community with the occasional public service announcement. Plus, they talk about things that other radio stations won't or can't have the time to discuss. The celebrate all the local holidays, and have some in-depth discussions on all things Chicago. If you don't like the music on here, give it an hour, and the DJ will change, and they'll put something else on. This morning, I woke up jamming to Tupac with them. You can pick up this station on a smart speaker world-wide! If you're missing Chicago, or just wanting to learn a little more about the Windy City, this is a great way to tune in and turn on!

For starters, very few stations can say they have stuck with the same format and formula for over 20 years - and have it work - but WIIL rock can. They stand out from the other corporate owned clones of each other found everywhere on the dial today. The morning show is original and the hosts do a decent job entertaining. Even if the humor gets silly, you can tell they genuinely enjoy what they do - and try to have fun with it. Take a listen to WTMX in the morning (or the Drive..etc.), and if you have not vomited from the innocuous prepacked "McBanter" than you should not listen to WIIL. If you appreciate real people - flaws and all on air - and real rock - then 95 WIIL rock is your station.

There's so many advertisements on this station, it's like the few same songs, on a loop with tons and tons of ads. I can't believe there's ads for other stations on this station. Sick of this station? Come listen to this one to get sick of. This is part of the iHeart Radio Media conglomerate, which seem to have stripped all the local flavor from this station, and make it sound like any other you'd find in any other city across the country. The morning panel seems like a bunch of drivel that I really do feel dumberer listening to. When they say that they're the #1 music station, I'd like to see their data that they base that on. Their claims are dubious.

93 XRT - Chicago's home for music lovers! I'm not quite sure…read morewhat XRT stands for, but they put out the jams! This is mainly a classic rock station, and the DJs are professional and knowledgeable about the music, they seem to really know their stuff. They play some deep tracks that you don't hear on other classic rock stations, and have some good commentary. Since it's classic rock, I guess I don't hear too many new songs. That's the trouble with classic rock. I've at least heard of nearly every artist on here. Some of the things that they consider classic rock make me feel old. I like the fact that they don't have very many commercials on here, especially compared to other stations.

Band played for 1 hour 10 minutes, max....for that I give poor review... this wasn't a free show... we paid good money for a bogus show... not worth it. Very disappointed
