What a cool Cigar lounge. Local place as most of the people coming in knew each other. Comfortable leather chairs and televisions from most angles. they provides ice and glasses at no charge and a bottle of water is $1.50. The liquor is BYOB which can be dangerous for those that pour too much. The humidor was pretty cleaned out when I was there but I found two good cigars to try. There is a $20 minimum purchase if you bring your own cigars. I have no problem supporting the shops! Renee the manager oversees the operation and makes sure you're comfortable. This was a pretty cool spot. Laid-back vibes. Wasn't too crowded. Just enough people to get a decent conversation going. This is more of a local crowd type of establishment. It was clear to me that these were local neighborhood people. There were a lot of regulars, who kind of already knew each other but that's just fine. The ambience was what I would expect from a cigar lounge. It was BYOB, which was also pretty cool. The only thing I found to be a bit sketchy was the parking lot, dimly lit off to the side and I kind of felt my vehicle may be in jeopardy. Once I got over that I was prepared to enjoy myself I would definitely be back when in the area. My husband came here with his nephew a few times and thought that I would like it. We arrived and the place was almost to capacity. There is either a $15 per person cover charge OR you have to buy $15 worth of cigars per person. We came with our own cigars but we are all about supporting Black owned businesses, especially those in neighborhoods that need the economic boost from business so we bought cigars and took them home and just smoked what we brought in. While most places will charge a "cutting" fee for bringing in your own, it's usually insignificant. This fee was quite significant for 2 folks. Of course, if you buy your cigars there then it isnt really a fee but we like certain brands and their selection is small. I understand the cover charge because there is a void of businesses in this neighborhood and the owners want to avoid people coming in taking up seats but not patronizing the business. We were pointed to 2 chairs over in a corner but close enough to watch the Warriors v Rockets game on one of their 4 TV's. The bathroom was clean and they have soda and ice. No liquor license. At some point I looked around and realized the place was packed. Both men and women enjoying a nice cigar. I did take off 1 star because I really need the owner to invest in a smoke filtration system. It was so smokey it looked like the place was on fire lol. We tend to visit cigar smoking lounges everywhere we travel and this one was the worse. Hopefully it's something that will be remedied soon. All in all, it's my new favorite place to smoke and we will return. read more

Very cool cigar joint! Great staff, decent selection and great service! 2 cigar minimum here which is cool...smoke one and then save the other! One of my boys threw an event here recently and it was a great time. They can obviously accommodate big groups here. The only issue here is that they should update the times they are open as it says 10am on their website and Yelp as well as 11am on their answering machine as I was calling with questions at those times and no one answered until 4pm. I had a friend ride by to see if they were open and she told me they were closed around noon. If you have friends that like to smoke good cigars, this is a good place to have an event or come and chill and watch some games on TV while smoking. read more

Last night I hosted my mother's 60th birthday party here and I couldn't have found a better venue. The location was easy to get to, had parking to accommodate my guests and, I love how large the space is. The owners and the staff went above and beyond my expectations to assist me with setting up and clean up. Their cigar room was excellent with a wide range of assortments for guests. The owner also helped me pick one out for the guest of honor. They play great music here and what I love is that relaxed vibe but then having that little bit of room to get up and two step when your song comes on. Some of the parties or guests can be a little loud but it also adds to the great vibe. Everyone was respectful and actually so sweet when surprising my mom and wishing her a happy birthday. In the end, Windy City Cigar Lounge was perfect for the affair. I look forward to hosting another event here or just stopping by next time I'm home in the Chi! Thank you Maurice and staff! read more

Not a cigar smoker so this review is from a non-smoker's perspective. Visited this place on a Saturday night and sat on the back patio. Loved the patio vibe. They had a lot of fire pits and heat lamps to take off a bit of the chill. Owners and employees were extremely nice and walked us through the different types of cigars as well as the event and space rental opportunities available. Place is BYOB and have some cool looking seating options in the main area along with a projector. 5 stars for good customer service and providing a cool chill and alternative club/lounge vibe in the area. Will definitely be back even though I don't smoke. read more

Windy City cigar lounge is located on the south side in a black neighbor. It is a very welcoming environment to all people. It costs $15 to enter or a 2 cigar purchase. Great place to see sports events on HD TV, nice comfortable seating. Their filter system is very weak only reason I take one star off, have patio in the back which is nice in good weather. I've been to this place a total of 5 times. The 1st 2 were very enjoyable! Great customer service, good selection. The ast 3 times that I have attempted to visit, I have been unable to get in due to the location being closed when it's advertised that they are open. Website says 10 AM, phone message says 11 AM and I'm sitting out front at 1215 PM and the door and windows are shuttered. Would love to patronize the location but I'm leaning towards not, due to inconsistency! read more
