Over the years, I've had various corrective surgeries, and have had bridgework for a long time. As I aged, it was inevitable that I would continue to struggle with my dental health. I traveled from out of state for this surgery because Dr. Haigney was highly recommended for his expertise in implant surgery. The entire staff was very informative and welcoming. They addressed my concerns, calmed my fears, and the surgery was very successful. Considering the type of surgery, I experienced only a little swelling and pain - and just a little is fine! I am very pleased with my experience and would recommend Dr. Haigney to anyone needing his services. Thank you!

Initially, I found it odd that a plastic surgeon was also an oral surgeon but there were no issues. While the uncovered portion of insurance is payable in advance of surgery, my dental Insurance was processed without issue . She was in and out of the office within 2.5 hours max. Dr. Haigney called the next morning to check on her status. As a mother, T]this made me feel really good. If there were any issues with my daughter, I would have been able to address them with him directly. However, she had no issues. Her pain today (2 days later) is minimal and she had a cheeseburger today. It was great to see take 30 minutes to eat a meal; I hope this tradition continues. :) As with all dental surgery, know that you will have prescriptions to drop off and pick up immediately after to ensure the minimum pain level is maintained on behalf of the patient. This was not the case for me personally (with a surgeon in Greensboro) but is specifically important when your wisdom teeth are extracted.

I did not have to come for a follow up appt, since everything healed nicely. The payment experience is the part I still am perplexed and not satisfied with, but I chalked it up as one of those insurance payments and moved on- but wanted to at least share some insight into what you'll likely experience if you go here- there's an accountant member who walks you through your cost estimate for the procedure you'll have- I asked her to reach out to my insurance to get me the exact cost it would be- seems very straightforward to me- if everything goes as planned, what's the exact cost- she said she did- but for whatever reason they just provided an apparent estimate- fast forward, I pay my estimate the day off and ask what insurance said the cost would be and it was the same as the estimate - great- ok...surgery goes as planned and the next month I get a 25$ bill from the dentist and the said it's my deductible I have to pay. They blamed insurance, I obviously felt like it was some weird extra fee, but nonetheless I had to pay it as they wouldn't rescind it. Sooo surgery was fine, doctors great, less than perfect transparency is what I experienced. Take it as you will.

But after my recent experience I just cannot stop thinking about how lucky I am to know Dr. Pete. I was experiencing some pretty severe tooth pain recently and after visiting my dentist, then the endodontist (shout out to Lake Endo - also the best!), it was discovered that I had a broken tooth and a pretty nasty root tip abscess. I went to Dr. Pete for a consultation and at that time was on pain meds, antibiotics and steroids - so the pain was minimal. Fast forward a week, I woke up the Monday before Christmas to a swollen face and in so much pain I could barely talk. My fiancé reached out to Dr. Pete's office for me and they squeezed me in that afternoon. I was very anxious (this was my second time having a broken tooth extracted after two emergency root canals - so I have a bit of dental anxiety now) and my blood pressure was really high. Becky, one of his wonderful assistants, talked to me and helped me calm down with some nitrous. I am so incredibly thankful for this as the procedure felt like it took 2 minutes and I was back home resting in no time. The recovery was rough and the holidays were spent eating soup and taking an arsenal of meds but I will be forever thankful for Dr. Pete and the team as I can't even begin to imagine the nitemare that Christmas would have been had they not squeezed me in. I know they stayed late to accommodate me and my high blood pressure didn't help things. If you are looking for an oral surgeon, you won't find a better team! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I appreciate you all so much! Side note - Becky even put on Harry Styles and sang to me while Dr. Pete did his thing. Such a sweet gesture!

I applauded the doctor's efforts (really, I did) got cleaned up, got a goody bag with wound care instructions and a scrip, did the money-for-services exchange and went home to sleep this one off... got a call from Dr F in the evening to see how I was holding up. nice :-) especially thoughtful was his apology for disturbing my rest... who does that any more? the calling or concern? that's real class... and I was doing fine, hardly no pain at all for having a tooth extracted six hours earlier. now it's tomorrow and my face still doesn't hurt :-)
