I obtained three names and numbers of tree services from friends and called Sunshine late that afternoon. Before 8 a.m. the following morning Todd had looked at the damage and the whole tree and gave me a verbal assessment of what needed to be done, what the price would be, and when the work could be done (same day). Shortly, I received an email confirmation of our conversation and sent back acceptance as I liked their quick response, what I thought was a reasonable price, and straight assessment without any up-selling. Within a short time, Todd called to update me on time of arrival of his crew. By 11 a.m., there were 4 guys in my yard working on the tree and debris removal. They worked diligently in rainy weather to complete the job. Every bit of debris was cleaned up and the tree looks great and is so much safer now. The project manager recommended Grade-A Landscaping to remove a large berm that held one of the trees. They unearthed a lot of surprises, and overcame so many challenges. We hired them to remove several evergreen trees and shrubs from our beds, but primarily to address a large area in the front where soil runoff and tree roots were problematic. This was not a minor trim...five branches were removed from a tree that does not belong to their client. At no point did anyone knock on my door, attempt to verify property lines, or get consent before cutting. This shows a serious lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect for property rights. To make matters worse, the cuts they made left the tree looking uneven, poorly shaped, and clearly not cared for by a professional. It now looks damaged rather than maintained. If you're considering hiring this company, I strongly suggest confirming how they handle property boundaries and neighbor communication because in my experience, they did neither. I am extremely disappointed and would caution others before using their services.
