I walked in to the studio. There were 3 Mexican ladies and 1 white lady working. The 3 girls were so terrible to the other employee. You can tell they were racist to her. White lady was polite but the other 3 were so rude to her. I didn't like the way they treated her. I do not recommend coming to there locations because besides the 1 white lady working, the other ones were just cruel. White lady was so nice to give them offers and another worker told her no. We went to take Mother's Day pictures with my boys. I asked for the sibling shoot, I wish the photographer would have suggested more poses. The young lady at the front desk was super nice and very friendly. The air conditioner was not working it was hot. read more

My son had some photos taken here a couple weeks ago. We had to wait quite a while despite having an appointment. All the appointments before us were small children, so the delay was understandable. My son is 2, so he was restless. When it was our turn, our photographer was SO patient and really worked with him. He really didn't follow any directions. I was getting stressed, but she kept her cool and went with it. I was honestly dreading the photos, but they came out really cute!!! I'm really pleased with the results! Have been coming here every year since 2016 (with the exception of 2020) and i have to say I have always left with a pose or picture I have really really liked. I feel like the staff has worked well with my son and I have been happy with my pictures. I always come with a Groupon or coupon from them directly and have never felt pressed to buy more (although) definitely offered! read more

My family and I have been here the last 2 years to take Christmas family photos. You can usually find a good deal on Groupon for a photo session here around the holiday season. The customer service here at the front desk isn't great. The guy is usually short with his words and seems tired, like he's just waiting for his shift to be over. It's the holiday season, JC Penny should hire someone with a little Holiday cheer! The photographers are usually found with not much photography experience. My wife and I are usually the ones who have to tell our daughter how to stand or place her hands and so on. Luckily the end product always comes out looking good. I guess for the price, to us... it balances out the lack of friendly customer service at the front desk and the black of an experienced photographer. read more

You'll definitely want to schedule an appointment. The downside is you probably won't be seen at your time unless you go at the beginning of the day, they tend to get backed up. My last appointment - ONE employee scheduled. I can see why that would be okay, but not during the holidays when more people tend to take family pictures. The one employee was - answering the phone, taking pictures, setting them up for viewing & taking orders. The photographer Anthony was working with a client and we weren't seen until just after 6, we were scheduled @ 5:45. We did the work of putting our holiday card together & we left about 7. Had we needed more help with the card, we would have been there a lot longer. Anthony did a great job with us. Knocked our session out in 15 minutes. I'm happy with the photo selection we had to choose from. Can't wait to pick up my cards. Check Groupon & Living Social - they tend to have deals that include the sitting fee. This place is being managed by "JOE".. who was HORRIBLE. Being a manager myself I am beyond baffled at how this "manager" handled our situation. So I made 2 appts. One for my friend and one for my daughter. They called us Wednesday to confirm our appts which we confirmed. They asked us over the phone "WHAT IS THE EVENT FOR THE PHOTOS?" I explained that it was the event coupon for a free 8x10. We arrive and check in. RUTH takes us to the back and starts doing our photo shoot. The coupon says "one offer per family, per day". We had told them we were there for the free 8x10 event. We decided to get my friends son and my daughter together. WE WERE NEVER TOLD THAT IF WE DID THAT IT WOULD AFFECT US BEING ABLE TO USE OUR OWN COUPON. I think we got in like 4-5 pictures when I wanted to clarify that it was 2 separate sessions because we wanted to use our own coupons. Ruth then says we can't bc the kids are together. I said okay.. can you just delete the pictures then and we'll do our own shoot after (which we had set an appt for our OWN shoot anyways). She says let me ask the manager. Joe says that we would need to reschedule for another day... (we were only 15 min into our session AND there was only 4-5 pictures taken with both kids bc my daughter started crying and needed to be nursed)... JOE was BEYOND RUDE!! "You need to schedule another session"... why?? We had just started the session and they could've deleted the photos. He went on to say well it's per family ... etc etc. instead of being a DECENT manager and trying to find a solution to the problem.. he was just RUDE!! I then went to go get my greeting cards that I had purchased from the week before. And I asked for the specs (the pictures that come extra if you want to purchase..) he responds with "can you give me a second? You're not even supposed to pick up your pictures until tomorrow"..... WHAT THE F***??? How are you a friggin manager!? I CAN PROMISE YOU ... you lost a RETURNING customer. If you bring up my profile ... you will see I have the membership.. I constantly go in for pictures and buy! I have even brought friends and my family. You just lost business. A simple "I apologize for any confusion but yada yada yada...." JOE's attitude sucked... the last time I was there he didn't even greet or anything. NO PERSONALITY but the second he wanted to get an attitude and become disrespectfully argumentative ... boy did he chirp up. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION AT ALL. Manager didn't even try to resolve problem or come up with solution. He sits on his ass and has the ladies working there do all the work. THEN !! I was so pissed I didn't even want to buy photos. If I could give no stars, I really would. I walked in today at 2:45pm right after they opened back up after lunch. I spoke to Joe who was sitting at the register. He asked if I had an appointment and I said, no. So I sat down since I was a walk in. There was a family getting their photos taken in the studio. A couple customers come in with appointments. So I continued to wait. 45 minutes later. I asked him how much longer it would be. He says "Oh. I thought you were just waiting for someone." Mind you, I was with my two girls in their matching outfits. MATCHING. 2 year old and 6 month old. Who sits in a photo studio for almost an hour just waiting around? So then he says. "It'll probably be a 40 minute wait. I can book you for the next appointment available." There was no way I could wait longer. My oldest daughter was already fussing. Made an appointment for newborn photos during the holiday season. It was so packed, uncomfortably hot, and were not seen at our appointment time. Guy says they double book during the holiday season. 45 min. later we are finally called back and baby starts crying uncontrollably. The guy was pretty good about allowing me to feed him, but my lil one was unhappy, so we just left. Scheduled another appointment first thing in the morning, so we wouldn't have to wait. STILL had to wait 30 min. How?? We were the 1st appointment of the day. We get in there and the girl is rushing us and saying there were others outside waiting. The pictures she took were AWFUL!! I had the worst experience here. I took my newborn for Christmas pictures paid $150 just for digital downloads (got no printed pictures or any actual copies of the pictures just had them emailed to me) the pictures were so bad, the guy rushed through the session I only liked 2 pictures out of the whole session. I'm so upset I paid so much. I told the lady I just wanted digital downloads of the regular photos and she charged me for the photos and collages which was way more than if I would have got just the photos without the ugly collages I didn't even like!! When I told her I just wanted the photos no collages she said she had already emailed them and there's nothing she could do so I was stuck paying for collages I could have literally put together on an app I have on my phone. I'm so upset and will never go back to Jcpennys for any pictures. Worst experience and so expensive. read more

My daughter and I had the BEST experience here today! The staff was friendly and accommodating. They took us as a walk in even though they were busy and they gave us the special attention as if we had made an appt. they made sure we left with pictures we loved!! Worst customer service ever. We had made an appointment online and when we arrived they didnt have our appointment. If it wasnt for the screenshot of the confirmation we took they wouldn't have honored it. Then they had us waiting for roughly an hour beyond our appointment time. We have taken our kids twice to get professional pictures, and honestly I will never come back! They are expensive, quick and unprofessional at the end of the day. They take one picture per pose, & most of the pictures did not come out looking good. A photographer should want you to get the best picture, seeing as these pictures will be mounted on your wall for a long time. My baby has hair sticking out to the side in half the pictures, my teenager has his thumb going through his sleeve in a couple of them as well. Also not a fan of cutting the 2mm of the bottom of each picture. Over all not happy! Not coming back & do NOT recommend others to use JCPenney for their family portraits. read more

All 4 times the girl who answered told me she would call me back to make an appointment. All 4 times I never received a phone call back. Work on your customer service and professionalism!
