This has changed now that I've hired JC Tree Care! Jimmy answered the phone right away and was able to give me a quote later in the day. The next day, he had a crew (not just one guy) with professional equipment (real bucket truck, real saws, no harry homeowner stuff) and had MULTIPLE tree's taken care of. 100% pros all the way. I had several trees that were a danger to my house. I called for an estimate and Jim came over the same day to look at things. They set up the service call the very next day. It took less than 3 hours to remove 3 enormous oak trees. Nothing was hit, nothing was damaged. It was impressive how good these guys were. The owner came out to my house when I requested a quote. He gave a reasonable quote to cut down two trees and agreed to come the following week to do the work. He called and showed up a few days early to get the job done in between rains. I was very pleased when I got home from work that evening to see the trees cut into fireplace lengths and much of the small stuff neatly stacked. Had a tree that was a danger to my home. Called and they came out same day to take a look and give estimate. Price was fair and said they would come out the following week. The following week there was bad weather that put them behind schedule, however that still make it that week and did an excellent job. I was very impressed with Jim and his crew. He came out and gave me a very fair estimate to cut a couple of trees down and then trim some others back and when I called to set up the appointment, he said they could be out the very next day which was great for me. He showed up and got the work done in very little time (I think they were here maybe 15 minutes). I thought this would be an all day process and it wasn't and they cleaned up the cut down trees/branches which I didn't expect. Honest, trustworthy and hardworking. I've used this company twice now and I highly recommend them. First they cut down a bunch of trees on my property and just recently they built a fence in my backyard in the middle of winter. This was hard work and covered a large area on the side of a mountain but they got it done fast, for a very good price and it looks great. I had JC Tree Care cut down a one hundred foot poplar tree in my yard that also bordered a main road. While the price was a little on the high side, Jim worked with me to reschedule to a good day when the yard was not too mushy and 5 1/2 hours after they arrived, the tree was cut down ina professional manner and sawed into firewood length pieces. The crew wasa goup of the nicest folks that I have worked with as far as contractors in the front Royal area and I would recommend them if you have a tree that is challenging to take down. We contacted JC Tree Care after we arrived at our familys summer cabin to repair the roof and notice a tree was broke and leaning over the house. JC and his crew arrived within 2 hours on a sunday and took care of the problem. The price was reasonable for the situation. 2008 storm took trees down on my property and I hired this company. Owner gave me a price, requesting half up front with the agreement that he would start the job the following Monday--he never showed up and never called. Three days later his brother arrived with a thrown together crew and rented equipment. The owner, knowing that he and his crew and equipment were heading to TX to look for work there, used my money (and who knows how many other clients) to help cover the costs of his trip. The job wasn't done as promised and I had to hire someone else to come in and cut the wood, costing me $1,200 more. He hadn't any intent on doing my job until he returned from TX. He lost the battle in court, but he refuses to pay. I'VE NOT FORGOTTEN JIM AND IT'S NOT OVER WITH! read more

J.C. Tree Care did an excellent job with taking down a large tree next to our power lines as well as cutting large dead limbs above our driveway. The only concern I have is that I requested they do not start working until after 12pm and contacting us before arriving as we work nights and that Mondays would be best because we are off work then. J. C. wrote this in our contract and stated due to our request for a Monday they would come out the Monday after the next (a little over 1 week. We said GREAT!!. However the tree was cut down 4 days after our conversation/contract, a Wednesday. There was no notice given prior to their arrival. We only knew they were there because we were awakened by the chainsaw. As I stated, all work was done excellently, however the employees should follow what was written on the contract.
