She's one of the few photographers licensed to work there so that was extra helpful! Our session was just a few hours long and she was very flexible about timing and our needs. We skyped out all the details beforehand and that was a relief. I'm not particularly comfortable being photographed but she made it feel more natural than I was expecting. Our photos are beautiful. My husband and I are both a bit awkward in front of a camera, and I often am not crazy about how I look in photos, but Leah did an incredible job making us feel at ease, capturing beautiful memories and really documenting the joy of the day. I chuckled when I read it, because it actually says to be on time but don't come early. So, we showed up exactly on time and had to wait 20 minutes for our session. 2. When it was our turn, the photographer posed us in various unimaginative ways and clicked three pics of each pose. Very little direction. Didn't attempt to fix things she thought looked weird (although she told us later she saw things she wanted to comment on but just didn't). 3. Tried to sell me over $600 in photos. Nope! 4. Sold me a Christmas ornament that I was going to use as a gift. DIDN'T tell me it wouldn't arrive until after Christmas! 5. Finally got the photos home and looked at them a few days later, only to realize I was missing more than half of what I had paid for! 6. Called them and asked. Was told that there was a mix-up and they couldn't figure out who those belonged to. Really?!? 7. Had to drive 45 minutes back to the store in Christmas traffic. Got a half-hearted apology. No offer of partial reimbursement. They didn't care. 8. Photographer told me she would photoshop a small wardrobe malfunction out of affected photos. She didn't. I would not have bought those had I known she wouldn't do it. 9. To sum it up, the photo quality was only so-so, the poses were very uninspired, and I felt like they were just rushing me along, trying to squeeze out every penny they could in the process. Not only does Jackie capture beautiful shots but she is extremely good with kids. During the maternity shoot she was able to coerce our 18 month old to pose and smile as needed, she definitely had his attention and smiling. When we did the newborn shoot at her studio I was shocked how she was able to change the newborns outfits and poses without him crying or fussy, I told her she had to have been a baby whisperer My wife and I absolutely love all the photos she took and look forward very much to our two remaining sessions.
