Ben is an absolute pro. Hilarious, professional, and knows his stuff. Our group of 13 was looking for a Sevierville photographer and ran across Ben's profile. He met us at our cabin and was able to make the small area in front of it work perfectly for our needs. This allowed our commute to be literally "walk out the front door" and, even with that, the end result was immaculate. Like...knock-our-socks-off good. There's another review about Ben mentioning him making inappropriate comments. That could not be further from our experience with him. Listen - Ben is a quirky guy who is boisterous and blunt. He's happy to be the center of attention in the service of eliciting real, legitimate smiles from the full group - ages 6 to 69, in our case. He was extremely successful in that endeavor for us. And he won't hesitate to tell you if you look unnatural in a specific pose. Personally, I'd rather know that before he snaps the picture than find our I looked like an idiot when he delivers the final product... If your group is a bit uptight and prefers a quiet church-type atmosphere, Ben will not be a great fit. If you're ready to drop your guard a smidge, have a good time, and roll with the flow, though, Ben is your man. read more

So very pleased with the photos that Ben took of my husband and I in the Smoky Mountains. Spoke to him before our trip and discussed our nerves and hesitancy to do professional pictures as well as the desire to have some great pictures to capture our love for the area and each other. Explained that we had honeymooned in the Smokies in 2000 and we had just celebrated our 24th anniversary, so I thought having our pictures taken in a place we both really loved would be perfect. He was patient and kind on the phone and he had the perfect spots for pictures in mind that show so many of the things we love about the area. Ben took our 3-generation 14 member family photos while we were vacationing at Eagles Ridge Resort in Pigeon Forge in the beautiful Smoky Mountains. He was easy to work with, always replied promptly to questions, and has a knack for getting everyone to smile. Our 8-year old granddaughter found him extremely amusing and while he was photographing smaller groups she acted as his assistant in the background, which really brought the smiles. We have so many photos and it was all completed in about one hour! My only regret is that I didn't have him photograph all of us looking down from the porch of the cabin, but that's on me as he asked if there were any more photos we wanted. I am always very nervous when it comes to having my families pictures taken. When I'm not behind the camera I'm just not sure of what we will end up with.
