I placed an order and before paying, I double-checked that my address was correct (I deleted the other addresses in my account and set the one where I live now as the default). They sent my order to the address that is no longer on my account. They say that because I didn't check my email, nothing can be done and it's my fault, or that I should contact UPS. read more

I was a little concerned entering this JCPenneys because 2 grown men were fighting in the parking lot.(I mean throwing punches- totally ridiculous) I just needed one thing from JCP. I decided to run in and get what I needed. As I was walking in another customer was letting the staff know about the issue outside. Security went outside. Since I was just getting one thing and leaving I did not stop to look at anything else. I did notice a lot of people were standing in line to pay; so that's a great sign. Great sales but customer service is terrible here. We waited in line and there was one male cashier and 4 store associates working on it don't know what at the register. The male cashier asked a young female associate to help him check out customers and she sort of gave the attitude that she didn't want to, but did. Then she ran off. Another female associate started helping but as she asked for the customers phone number for the rewards the customer was giving it to her and she started twirling her index finger like signaling to hurry up. Wow... I think her name was Tammy or Tracy? It started with a T. The male cashier finished with his customer and decided to check his phone instead of helping us. I work in a store and honestly, my boss would've written me up for that. Checking his phone and the female cashier ignoring us too. I almost wanted to leave but these deals we had kept me patient. Finally called us over. We saved about over $300 in our purchases. Do better JC Penny with your cashiers. read more

I am not sure how it is possible, but my review for this place is gone, along with my check ins! Wait..just saw the problem...I spelled the name incorrectly when I put the review together. As I reported before, they stopped doing coupons. They promised that there best deals will always be in plain site once you go in the store. They also stated to check their website to see if there is a special online price for an item. Plenty of variety in this store to keep you searching for something cool. I am not a big shopper, so I like that everything is really well labeled for quick shopping. Their return policy is pretty laid back as well. Limited inventory and hard to get into. I'm sorry, but I seem to strike out whenever I try to shop for clothes at this JC Penny. During our last visit my wife was looking for a light jacket or shawl to match a dress she got for a coming Holiday party. No joy. Last trip I was looking for jeans and could not find the brands or even my size in the off brands. Located at the intersection of Grand Parkway and I-10, you will find you have to go through gyrations just to reach the parking lot. One in the lot you will discover they created a rat trap where the exits are not obvious to the driver. read more

I had an amazing experience here with my mom looking for a last minute birthday present, and they had everything we had in mind! The store was closing, and the cashiers left but one person stopped by and checked us out and scanned everything. He was super friendly and he even found us a bag to put the present in! He even offered to give us a pen to write who it was from! 100% recommend you to come here! read more

If I could give them a half a star, I would. I have never seen customer service as bad as JC Penny in Katy. They are lazy, rude and just don't care about their customers. I had an on line order that I needed to cancel. So I call the store, go through the crappy automated system and finally get to the on line department. The young lady answers and says hold on. She then placed for the phone down and proceeded to play and joke around with her co worker and after I held on for 16 minutes, I hung up. I then called back and the operator in the automated system was not available. After 4 more phone calls, I get back to the department and speak to the same lazy young lady. Told her I was on hold for 16 minutes and she puts me back on hold for another 4 minutes. Comes back and says we are really busy and I will do your return tonight and call you. Well that wasn't going to do it. So then I ask for a manager and got a supervisor, who could barely hear me as her walkie talkie thing was so loud with chit chat. She finally processes this and I ask for a receipt to be emailed to me. She finally got the address right. As she tries to apologize to me with an attitude, I told her it's all good, I will never shop in that dump again and she says, that's your choice. Way to go Penny's, proving why you have to customers, facing bankruptcy and will not be here in a few years. Hire people who want to work and not be there just for a social hour. Be warned people. My 5 star review is for Denise in the salon. I have had a hard time finding someone who could cut my hair right. I have a lot of weight on one side of my head so texturing is needed. She knows exactly what to do. I highly recommend her. She is an excellent listener and she will ask if she isn't sure about something. She's very personable and I always enjoy visiting with her. The awesome thing is that I don't have to call the salon to make an appointment (except for the first time). She is available via text. She is very responsive when you text her. Again, I highly recommend Denise. I'm totally happy with how she cuts and colors my hair. read more

The reason why I give them 1 Star is because one thing I don't like is that they don't honor the sell prices, I just went there and I was shopping for some pair of jeans on clearance They showed for final price $4.30 and $8.45 and the female manager pull out both tags and left the last one for $15 and she said only for that price i can honor and that's really giving a bad reputation for the store the fact that they don't respect the tags. I'm a bit disappointed by the changes in this place. I usually come to JCP for bedding supplies as they are decent here and this location had a huge selection. So I go tonight to grab a couple of pillows and there are no Sealy or Tempurpedic's on the shelves. In fact, their pillow selection is about a quarter of what it was and their bedding and home section is about a tenth of what it was. No more curtains or blinds. Just one set of shelves holding some JCP brand pillows. I did go ahead and buy a couple since they were cheap, but I guess I'll no longer be shopping here when I'm looking for a nice pillow. That means I will no longer be shopping here. read more

I shop at this J.C. Penney all the time. It's a great store! It's clean, the associates are friendly and knowledgeable. The selection is amazing and the fashion is current. The isles are not cluttered and all the clothes are sized and easy to shop. The store manager is always on hand as well are many other managers. I have never walked into this store for a shopping exertion and not walked out with good deals. The sales are amazing and top that off with a coupon and earned rewards, you will walk away a very satisfied customer. Yes... jc penny is still open!! For a while there I completely forgot about this place but decided to come get some things for my kiddos... the clothes is still very casual and mostly play/school stuff but the reason for only three stars is the staff at this location. I have tried to use a mobile coupon (that they text me!!) on three occasions and all three times I have been told that they don't know how to enter it and that they can't use it! I have told them it's a coupon they sent me and they still said no. It's a bit strange. The store is good for just little pjs for the kids or Levis for the man but don't expect much in the way of customer service. read more

My only two sons are in the military, I love the selection whether looking for pants, jackets or even shoes I know that my money is well spent, also the people of JC Penney work so hard organizing and picking up after individuals whom drop items on the floor....they really try to keep everything orderly(organized). Walked in with my two daughters to find clothing for an upcoming vacation and had multiple associates cut us off, and then while we searched through the clothing racks I had 2 associates either pulling clothes away from my daughter's and I or constantly reaching over my 6 year old, without so much as an excuse me. I didn't understand why the signs upon entering were in Spanish until I entered the store and especially upon checking out. While walking up to the counter to purchase my shoes the clerk walked off never to be seen again. I was unable to log my reward points due to the language barrier and repeating my phone # three times. I just gave up. This is for the custom drapes. I have never in my life seen such bad service. Going on 3 months and can't even get Karen to call me back. I would recommend everyone to steer clear of the custom curtains. I'm really hoping some from here will reach out to address these issues. While there staff is friendly and there seems to be a lot of them working the place is a disaster. It looks like a hurricane hit inside it. You go into the dressing room and there is as many items in there as there is on the sales floor. That is probably why ya can't find squat when ya need to. I really like this location! They always have a large variety of clothing choices. Many people shop here and as you can imagine..it's extremely busy during the holidays. They have amazing sales and I love the fact that it's a stand alone building and you can find plenty of parking. Associates working here are always happy to assist customers at anytime. read more

After coming out to this area for the first time in over 4 years, I had to regain my composure and bearings after seeing how much change has taken place in this part of town. The store itself is great. Nice selection and aesthetically pleasing. However... I couldn't find a single sales associate on the floor to help me look for an item. There was only one guy at the cash register with a line of people waiting to pay, yet he was being asked by others for help in locating store merchandise. I felt awful for him and ended up leaving because I was in a hurry. I hope he got backup. :-/ read more

I like JCP a lot, but I hate not being able to reach someone by phone. They don't have any operator to direct your call or to page someone specific....and if you transfer to a department, like major appliances, they don't always answer and will disconnect you. Calling back doesn't help. Very frustrating!! However, they do cut good deals on appliances if you can put up with the other headaches. Sometimes, a few dollars difference feels good if the customer service is excellent. Fix the problem JCP. read more

I shop at JC Penney not only for their prices but for their shopping experience. The racks are always clean - I am not walking on clothes when browsing. The lighting is bright in all areas. I waited 30 minutes to get help with watches. The sales person was flirting with a customer, another sales person was called and never showed up. The manager finally showed up and then helped another customer complete a purchase. No sales person or mgr knew their merchandise. I had received a catalog advertising merchandise they didn't even have. It was an awful experience. I will NEVER shop at JCPenny in Katy and probably at no other JCPenny. I have never complained on yelp, this is my first time. I would rather compliment, but this retail store will be out of business if it continues to treat customers like this. read more
